Absolute Radio’s Ben Jones talked with James Morrison backstage at the 2009 V Festival at Hylands Park in Chelmsford over the weekend. Behind the scenes footage of James Morrison back in April at Coachella has been posted at the singer songwriter’s media page. James is seen hanging out backstage before his performance at the Mojave Tent began at 7:10 PM, which included a ‘Wonderful World’ duet with Joss Stone.
“Well cool to do like a stunt,” James said as he was being driven to the stage in a golf cart procession. “Jump from the back to this onto the front of that.”

James Morrison has webisodes on Imeem.com that give fans a behind the scenes look as he travels while promoting his album ‘Songs For You, Truths For Me’. The latest clip has the British singer songwriter doing radio appearances, signing sessions and performing. Morrison says in the clip, “Even though England can be like, ‘Yeah!’, scream out, Americans are just a bit more louder anyway. I think they’re loud in general.”

Before hitting the stage, James Morrison tells The Sun he has an ancient Chinese secret to keep his voice in tact before hitting the stage. “I have this juice called Loquat. It’s a bit like honey and is supposed to be really good for your vocal chords,” the singer songwriter explained. “But I’ve also got these weird Chinese pills where apparently they scrape fungus from a caterpillar larva and them process it in a lab. I swear to God.”
James Morrison headed over to Ireland recently to attend the 9th Annual Meteor Music Awards where, as well as performing, he collected the coveted award for ‘Best International Male’. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and James Morrison are never seen in the same room at the same time. ITN asked Morrison to tell the truth – is he really Chris Martin?
“I can see why,” James admitted of the comparisons, “because I do see it myself. I think it must be his big conk nose and his bouffant hair. You know what, he probably uses a little bit of lip balm. He’s got more of a man jaw than me.”
James added, “Apparently he gets people thinking he’s me, so it’s an even keel on the annoying thing.”
As for a swap for the night, he said, “I reckon I could do the dance. I could do that. I could try and play piano. I’d probably mess up his career a bit.”
