Neil Sean of Sky News reports Jenifer Ellison is fighting the release of her album because it might hurt her Hollywood hopes. “I enjoyed it, and all that, but I think that, a year after making the album, it sounds a little old so it would be best kept away,” Ellison remarked. “Just look at how they attacked Catherine Zeta-Jones for her failed pop career. It can haunt you for the rest of your life.” Despite Ellison’s pop regrets, her record label plan on releasing a record in Europe only.

The Sun reports that Jennifer Ellison again says she’s through with her pop music career. “When I got into pop I found it wasn’t so much about the singing as about how cool you were,” she said. “How can you expect to be given a fair chance when no one will give your record radio airplay?”

Sky News reports that Jennifer Ellison has blasted Maxim magazine for airbrushing photos of her to make her appear nude. “I’m fuming,” she said. “What they have done is take the bikini off me and made a whole new centerpiece of my body.” She added: “If you look at the stomach, that’s not my belly button. I’ve got a sticky-out belly button and that’s a sticky-in belly button. And I’ve got mine pierced.” Maxim’s spokesman insisted, “Her agent approved the concept and the finished pictures.”

In an interview with The People, Jennifer Ellison revealed that she plans on ending her pop career to focus on acting. “I’ve had my fingers in lots of different pies and it’s been great fun,” the ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ champ said. “But next year will be the time to focus on what I really want to do. I don’t want to be a pop star anymore, I want to concentrate on acting.”
