Ryan Wilson On How Things Have Changed For The Jonas Brothers

Ryan Wilson of checked in with fans on the indie pop duo’s MySpace blog, discussing ‘Falling Faster’ remixes and touring with The three years ago, before they became the phenomenon they are today. Wilson writes:

Hey! hey! Just wanted to check in. I’ve been listening to quite a few different remixes that Jason Nevins did of our first single ‘Falling Faster’. they are sounding crazy crazy awesome!!! you guys have to hear this! Hopefully we’ll be putting that up soon on iTunes or something. Actually, while I’m on the subject of iTunes… I can’t help but see this band name every other click of the mouse. Really everywhere I go, I guess. I was in Wal-Mart, believe it or not (I know, I know – only every other day), at the checkout and every magazine has them on the cover. It doesn’t seem like that long ago when Hope and I were touring her solo record opening for . I remember hearing that this exact band was going to be playing before us on tour. To save time between acts, we were even cool enough to let this band use our backline (amp rigs, drums, keyboard, etc.). This band actually shared a dressing room with us for most of the dates, as well. Then I remember hearing them play, thinking, wow!, that’s pretty impressive. who would have thought that just three years later this band would be playing multiple sold out shows at Madison Square Garden, have the top selling album on iTunes, and be on the cover of Rolling Stone! What an awesome accomplishment. Go Jonas Bros! I tried calling those guys not too long ago, but as suspected, those are definitely not working numbers.

Jordin Sparks & Jesse McCartney Backstage Jam In Glendale

Johnjay and Rich of 104.7 KISS FM were backstage with ‘American Idol’ season six winner and at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona on August 8th. Rich wasn’t able to play guitar for Jesse on ‘Leavin’, but they worked something out so they could play backstage before the show. Their jam session started out with ‘Leavin’, then Jordin walked in after hearing the commotion. Jesse then performed a cover of OneRepublic’s ‘Apologize’, a song he learned after Ryan Tedder was too sick to perform at a show in Redmond, where Jesse filled in. The morning show’s producer Obi-Wan Kenobi then covered Michael Jackson’s ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’ with Jesse and Jordin singing background. The session wrapped up with Jordin getting on guitar to cover Jewel’s hit ‘You Were Meant For Me’.

Jesse McCartney Warned By Billy Ray Cyrus To Stay Away From Miley?

Leaping on ’s recent remarks to E! that he’d be fine with dating ‘Hannah Montana’ star in a few years, Star magazine hears that the 15-year-old’s father Billy Ray has warned the ‘Leavin’ singer to stay away. “There’s been serious flirting between them for a while, but Billy Ray won’t let them date,” a Cyrus family insider tells the tabloid. “It’s driving Miley and Jesse crazy!” That 6-year age difference, and Miley being underaged is the obvious sticking point. “And Jesse also thinks the fact that he’s been known to date a lot of young girls in Hollywood has gone against him with Miley’s dad,” the tipster added.

Paula Abdul Wants To Record Duet With Jesse McCartney

was on the phone with Johnjay and Rich of 104.7 KISS FM in Phoenix on Monday (July 28), where the ‘American Idol’ judge talked with the DJ’s about going up against Ryan Seacrest for best morning show on Radio & Records, how ‘Idol’ loses in the Emmy Awards every year to ‘The Amazing Race’, and Paula’s belief that with the new Emmy category best show host will see Ryan win for ‘Idol’, but the show lose, causing Ryan to get an even bigger ego. “I get it. To have to go through how big his head gets,” Abdul said. “I get where you guys are coming from, I’m in the same boat.”

Paula also teased about her plans to turn a movie into a Broadway musical that she’d star in, intriguing the DJ’s into wondering what the movie was. Paula said she couldn’t reveal the movie until she secured the rights.

Abdul then talked about having her house broken into, and all of her Emmy Awards and Video Music Awards were stolen. She then instructed her assistant to make a list of all the awards she won. Then they got on the phone and Paula congratulated him on his recent success with ‘Leavin’. They then agreed to hook up in the studio along with legendary songwriter Oliver Leiber. Paula said she’d like to do something “fresh and new” with Jesse. “Oh my god, there’s actually a song,” Paula babbled, “if he would be willing to do a duet.” Abdul sounded overly medicated throughout the interview, but the DJ’s who are friends with Paula and plan to hang out with her in Phoenix this weekend never made an issue of it.

Jesse McCartney Has His Eye On Rachel Bilson

Johnjay and Rich of 104.7 KISS FM in Phoenix talked to about his upcoming concert with ‘American Idol’ season six winner and local girl .

Jesse said ‘It’s Over’ is likely to be the next single off his new album ‘Departure’, while ‘My Baby’ will definitely be a single. He added that he’s been texting Jordin about possibly doing a duet together on the tour, and gave the DJ’s kudos for getting a best morning show nomination. They then talked about the new ‘Dark Knight’ Batman movie, which Jesse said he’s seen four times and added that “it’s such a sad story” with Heath Ledgers death. As for his own movie projects, he said he’s busy with the album and now the tour, but would like to sign onto a movie next year.

Asked if he’s dating anybody famous, “I haven’t man. I’ve been so busy, but I do my thing. I feel that it’s a lot of work, trying to put time in with somebody who’s got a career. I’ve done it before.” When they suggested Rachel Bilson, he said, “Oh man, I love Rachel Bilson. She’s got the girl next door but the kinda sexy thing going on as well. She’s beautiful man, I’m with you.”

Would Jesse McCartney Date Miley Cyrus?

spoke with E! about ‘Hannah Montana’ star recently confessing to having a huge crush on the singer, and if he’d date the 15-year-old when she gets a little older. “She needs to be able to drive first before we talk about that,” 21-year-old McCartney said. Jesse also has been impressed with Miley’s recent mainstream radio crossover. “Yeah she’s ripping it up,” McCartney said in response to whether he’s a fan of her music. “I love the first single. I think she surprised all of us of hitting top 40 radio the way she did.” Asked how he’d respond if Miley asked him out, Jesse said, “I’d say, ‘Sure, let’s do this’.”

Watch Jesse McCartney Perform ‘Apologize’ With OneRepublic

Footage of and Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic performing ‘Apologize’ at the 2008 KISS BFD (Big Freakin Deal) show held at Marymoore Park in Redmond, Washington on June 28th has been posted at Jesse’s YouTube channel. Tedder ruptured his akiles tendon and also lost most of his voice, prompting Jesse to come on stage, along with several female fans, and help him out by singing the track. Watch it below.
