Jessie James To Perform At Benefit For Haitian Orphans

On Thursday (February 11), Jessie James and Alyssa Bonagura will perform at The Listening Room in downtown Nashville to benefit Dove Orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. During the performance, a silent auction with items donated from The Rolling Stones, Danny Gokey, Darryl Worley, Dave Barnes and others will be available. The event runs from 8:30-11:30pm and is open to the public. Other artists performing are Chris Cole, Greg Bates, Russell Dickerson and Chase Foster. Check out more details here.

Jessie James Upset With Label After Axed New Orleans Show

Jessie James checked in with her Twitter followers earlier today, angry with her label Mercury Records (Universal) for nixing her show in New Orleans. The 21-year-old writes:

To all my fans in New Orleans I am so sorry for the cancellation. It breaks my heart and it’s my fav city. The reason was budget.

I really wanted to see family. So sorry. I promise this won’t happen again. I’m furious you all weren’t notified earlier!

At one point during the shoot, a smoke machine set off the fire alarm, prompting a visit from the fire department. Jessie James Gets “Horrible” Tattoo As Butt Rockers Look On

Jessie James posted footage from when she recently got a tattoo from Hinder guitarist Mike Rodden, as his bandmates and Nickelback looked on. “It was horrible,” Jessie told ‘It’s On With Alexa Chung’. “I was in the moment.”

“Chad from Nickelback was sitting right next to me saying, ‘Yeah do it! Do it!’ So peer pressure,” Jessie added. “So I sat there and had it done – and it looked horrible. It was like chicken scratch.” Since then, she had the ink reworked by a professional. “I had to wait 30 days to get it fixed,” Jessie told the MTV host.

Behind the scenes footage of Jessie Janes at a photoshoot and video shoot for ‘Wanted’ has been posted at the singer’s MySpace Video channel. Jessie talked about her album’s mixture of pop, twang, blues, soul and rock, saying she’s inspired by everybody and wanted to put the sounds into one thing. Jessie added that she’s a “homebody” who doesn’t drink or go out and party. “You might think I’m a loser, but I like to Scrabble, and I like to stay home and play games and be with my family.
