JoJo checked in with her Twitter followers (@JoJoistheway) on Friday (December 17), talking about being unattached. The 19-year-old, prepping to finally release her third album ‘All I Want Is Everything’ next year, tells readers:
I LOVE being single. Having someone to love and love you back is BEAUTIFUL. No doubt. But at this time in my life, I enjoy my independence, privacy, and space. I have the chance to make mistakes, learn my likes and dislikes, so when the time comes to settle down, there will be no question as to “Am I rushing into this? Am i doing the right thing?” While I focus on myself and my career, I am learning to embrace The Single Woman that I am. Loving my friends, my family, and my work associates. Exploring the world with my own two eyes, on my terms.
JoJo checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Tuesday (September 7), discussing the release of her free mixtape ‘Can’t Take That Away From Me’, which you can listen to a stream of below. The 19-year-old writes:
I’m so thrilled to present new music to you! As confused as I am about the current situation with the actual album, I can only imagine how confused you must be too. I often speak vaguely about what’s going on because I want to take the high road and not throw anyone under the bus. As tempting as it is to go public with every single detail, I’m trying to stay professional. But, my fans have been waiting way too long and at the end of the day- I’m a singer! A songwriter! An artist! It pains me not to be sharing what I love with those who want to receive it. It’s a really crazy thing when your career, your livelihood, and the thing you love the most is out of your hands. In releasing this mixtape, I’m affirming that even though some have tried they CANT TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME. What is THAT? My voice, my spirit, my drive, my dreams. As you listen to these songs, I hope that they make your head nod, your mind tick, your emotions move, your belly laugh, and maybe elicit a “stanky face” or something ;) Lol. ….
JoJo spoke with Rap-Up TV to offer an update on her long delayed new album ‘All I Want Is Everything’, who she’s been in the studio with lately, and whether the album will get released by year’s end. “The album is pretty eclectic, there is certainly more energy to it that my other two albums,” the 19-year-old said. “It’s very transparent, very honest.” Watch the interview via YouTube below.
JoJo checked in with her Twitter followers (@JoJoistheway) Saturday evening, revealing that she was involved in an automobile accident and she had lost her voice and has been ordered by her doctor to rest her vocals. JoJo writes:
Got into a four car accident earlier. I thank God that no one was injured and everyone was cooperative and not mean to each other. First accident I was ever involved in. Also, doctor still has me on vocal rest until next week. I’ll be attending event tonight but not performing. I’m so sorry. I feel SO bad about it, but need to focus on the long term and recovery of my voice. Dont want 2 overdo it! :/
JoJo checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Monday (February 22) after posting a new song on her player (hear it here). The Boston pop singer writes:
Hey pals!
Just posted a song called “Wait a Minute (For Your Love)” I wrote with Jordan Gatsby a while ago that I wanted to share. It’s just a record that I love, which probably won’t make the album (since this doesn’t at all fit the direction…lol) but still represents a genre of music that inspires me. Making this was so much fun. We recorded it at this ill studio in Boston called Sanctum Sound and had some fantastic musicians come in and sprinkle their gifts upon it.
Still recording for the album. Slow and steady wins the race. I’m doing all that I can to get new material out asap.
Love you oodles
Thank you for you support and I can’t wait to see you all again soon…
x’s and o’s
-Jo
JoJo checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Monday (February 1), discussing new music, songwriting and getting hacked. The 19-year-old writes:
Hey Guys,
I have been writing music every day. I now have a HUGE catalog of original music, which I am excited for you all to hear!
Writing is a huge passion of mine, and something I have been doing since I COULD write; in elementary school. It is a great emotional outlet for me, and everything I have gone through, and am going through comes out in my music.
I continue to keep my head up; and remain positive; despite entities, and people who try to keep me down, and do not want me to succeed.
I hope 2010 has started off well, for all of you; and continues to bring you much joy, and hope!
Jo xoxo
ALSO…my e-mail accounts, Facebook, and Twitter accounts were hacked and taken over by an imposter. I apologize if any of you received e-mails from that person; who you thought was me. I DO NOT have a facebook, or a twitter account, now, since I was hacked.
Update: JoJo has regained control of her Twitter:
Geeez! I hope this hacker problem doesn’t return. :/
Love you guys sooooo much!!!!!!!! Sorry for any confusion. I never started a formspring, so whoever was answering questions was not me. I don’t even know what that is to be honest!

JoJo checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Thursday (November 5), offering an update on her long delayed third album ‘All I Want Is Everything’. The 18-year-old writes:
Can’t get too specific with what is going on with the album yet, but I promise you we are taking all the steps to get it out to you. Unfortunately, it is not as simple as “Okay, the deals done, now we’re just going to throw the album on the shelves!” There are so many steps that lead up to the final result.
It has been a long frustrating road, but I believe by faith that 2010 is going to be my best yet. I know alot of records have been leaked, and it bothers me SO MUCH, but I want you to know that they only scratch the surface of what I have been working on. The album has most certainly not been spoiled or disrupted because of hackers/leakers.
Check out the entire update here.
