Josh Hoge’s Brother Will Returns To Performing After Critical Injury

updated fans on his blog at MySpace on Saturday (April 4), talking about his current tour, hopes for a summer tour with Toby Lightman, and an update on his brother Will, who was critically injured last August in a motorcycle accident. The singer songwriter tells readers:

My brother who was critically injured this past August is getting better every day, and is going out for a small run of shows in a week or so!!! If it’s not sold out yet, and coming near you then you should DEF go! Very small rooms, very intimate/acoustic setting! I wish I was around to witness one of the shows but unfortunately we always miss each other most of the time because we live on the road. MAYBE one day when he gets back 100%, there could be a Will Hoge with special guest Josh Hoge tour!?!?!?!?! :) Plus that way we could hang out more.

Clubbers Spoil Josh Hoge Show At Canal Room

updated fans on his blog at MySpace on Monday (March 23), upset about how his gig on Friday at the Canal Room ended. The Nashville singer songwriter tells readers:

So we are about to leave Boston, and head towards Cleveland with a full day to drive which usually means we try to find a stop somewhere with bowling, putt putt, batting cages, bumper boats or whatever fun activities! The tour is off and running and we are having a blast! The turnouts have been awesome and shows have all been great! Have to make a quick point about the NYC show tho… last Friday night in NY was an AMAZING night. Great turnout, great energy, yada yada. Just before the show starts the club lets us know that they become a dance club at 11pm and we’d have to be all out and done. So during my last song the a**hole bouncers start letting “clubbers” in who are talking their ass off etc. If you were there you probably noticed my mood change. I told em to shut up, and actually think I flipped em a bird. haha. Anywho I just wanted to say if you were there it was not at all directed towards you guys (as you were all awesome). I also was pissed cause they immediately started kicking everyone out and Curtis and I didn’t get to hang at merch and meet folks or chat. So I’m sorry the way it ended up and I hope all the people clubbing had a good time hearing Lady Gaga over and over. I will be back this summer and will make sure its just a concert and that’s it on the night I play and wherever it is. :)

Josh Hoge Plans Holiday ’09 Album

checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Monday (March 9), talking about hitting the road again, putting out a holiday album later this year, and what kind of album people want him to put out next. Hoge writes:

Hey so I hope everyone is well! I am leaving Wednesday to begin the new tour. You know where to find the dates on my page and I really hope to see you all out at some shows!!!

As you know (or maybe don’t, but now you do) I am going to release a Holiday album this season with like 3-4 original songs I wrote, and 3-4 classics. I am a huge fan of Christmas time and music, and I have always wanted to do this. I will probably begin recording it when this tour is over in May.

Hey yall! Just checking in to say what’s up and tell you again how much fun I’m having on this tour! The shows have been incredible!!! I am so thankful to Marc for allowing me all this time on tour with him and the boys. We are in Las Vegas tonight to celebrate Marc’s birthday! Never know what may happen with all us idiots. :) It’s been a super pleasure to be joined by Jessie Baylin and her band. Great people, great music, great hang! Looking forward to the rest of the month. Got to stay in Denver an extra night and hang with my pal Ryan Tedder. We’ve been friends for a long time and I am so happy for all the success he is having now! He deserves it, and oh yeah I made him pay for drinks! haha. We hopefully will be working together on some new things in the near future. Looking super forward to the California shows this week! Oh and before I run, I’m sorry for having to miss the Salt Lake show last night. When we woke up yesterday morning there was like 3 feet of snow on the ground and we were stuck! I will be back in April so hopefully I’ll see you then… Last but not least, new tourdates are being added now so check em out, and more will be coming soon… :)

Josh Hoge In Love With Matt Nathanson’s ‘Some Mad Hope’ LP

updated fans on his blog at MySpace on Tuesday (December 16), an off day between tour dates at home in Nashville, talking about some of his shows. He also weighed in positively on fellow singer songwriter Matt Nathanson. Hoge tells readers:

I had a chance a few weeks ago to play a one off show with Matt Nathanson, and all I have to say (not that he needs any help from me) is DAMN! I met Matt years ago, and we re-met if you will when I was making my album because the same guy produced both our records. I’m in LOVE with his album, and I cant tell you how much I respect him. He is one of (and maybe THE) nicest guys around. He really cares about his fans, and is no bullsh**. He deserves all the success he is having right now. It took this biz 15 years almost to realize that he is this good? wow…

Josh Hoge Heads Back On The Road

checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Wednesday (December 3). The Nashville singer songwriter tells readers:

Hey there, hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! It was nice for us all to get home and see our families, etc. Plus the fact that there was the most wicked stomach virus being passed around on the November leg of the tour we all wanted to get away from each other. It hit like 8 people on the tour. Never got me, but I only made out with Marc and crew a few times. haha. Actually I would like to take this time to thank the man who always kills germs for me when I’m on tour… MR. JACK DANIELS! :)

We are headed to Orlando today. Thanks to all the new faces that I met on the November run! And of course thanks to the familiar faces who always support! It was great getting to play shows with Marc and The Gabe Dixon Band. Looking forward to the next 2 and a half months with Marc and the boys, and also bands like The Alternate Routes, Sons of William, and Jessie Baylin.

Hey all, hope youre well. I’m sitting here getting everything ready to head out on the road tomorrow. I’ve been home for a few weeks, and now its time to get busy again. I’m starting with a show Wednesday night in Richmond VA with my pal Chris Richardson. We’ve done this show before and it’s always a blast and I love Richmond! If you haven’t heard Chris, he is very talented so check him out. You may know his name from ‘American Idol’ 2 seasons ago, but trust me he’s far more talented than ‘American Idol’! Come out and see us if you’re near…
