MTV News reports that ‘American Idol’ season two finalist Julia DeMato, 26, appeared in Danbury Superior Court in Connecticut on Thursday morning (January 12) after pleading not guilty last month to drug-possession charges stemming from an arrest on December 4th. A court spokesperson confirmed that DeMato was in court, but said that due to the nature of what happened at her appearance, information about her case is no longer in the public record. The spokesperson said he was not able to give any other information or explain why the case is now behind closed doors.
Julia Demato, who finished 10th in the recent ‘American Idol’ competition, chatted with CNN’s Heidi Collins and Thomas Roberts on Saturday (June 14). Julia addressed her beef during the competition with Kimberly Caldwell. Julia admitted there was “a little bit of tension. But I think it’s all in the competition, you know, and then we’re very much alike, so we kind of clashed, but it — We became really good friends out of it.” She added that the two really have made up their differences. “Yes, we did. Entertainment Tonight caught up with ousted American Idol Julia DeMato and asked her how does she feel after her time in the spotlight has ended. “Being in the bottom three for two weeks before that, I think I was really mentally prepared and I held myself together pretty well,” she admits. “I can perform — it’s just that the pressure is so hard!”
