Katelyn Tarver Survives ‘Tube Wars’

Katelyn Tarver checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@katelyntarveronline) earlier today with an update on what she’s been doing. Tarver writes:

Just saying HELLO

Hey guys!!! How is everyone?? Sorry I haven’t updated in a while .. I’ve been at my coast house hanging out for a few days trying to soak up the last few weeks of summer. How have you guys been?? Anyone in school yet?? My younger sister and brother are getting ready to go back to school on Friday. I can’t believe it! I feel like the summer has gone by so fast! Oh I’m just so happy I don’t have to go back to high school…..YAAAAAY!

So like I said before–my family and friends were all hanging out at my coast house this past weekend. We had some intense tubing. We do this thing called “tube wars” where we put two tubes behind the boat and each tube tries to kick the people on the other tube off. I think we ended up with 2 bloody noses and a hurt ankle! Hah..one of the bloody noses being mine. It still hurts kind of……..haha. So we had a good time!

Hope you guys are all doing well! Be sure to keep checking back…and keep checking my YouTube!! Thanks so much for EVERYTHING. Love you all

Katelyn Tarver checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@katelyntarveronline) on Saturday (May 10). She writes:

Hey everybody!! OK sorry I haven’t written sooner – I just feel like I’ve been doing a million things. Prom was last weekend and it was so fun! I PROMISE to post some of the pictures… for some reason it hasn’t been working but… I’m going to try to get some up very shortly. The theme to our prom was Phantom of the Opera so it was decorated very nicely… we tend to go all out on our prom decorations SO – it was fun! THEN, on Saturday I flew up to Maryland for my show at the Hockey Fights Cancer event in Abingdon. It went well! I actually got to hit a few hockey pucks! Which was a first. Hockey seems like fun, but it was freezing in there! I mean obviously… but I just hate being cold. ANYWAY, when I got home I just headed back to school. I had a big paper due on Friday so.. that’s what I was doing all last week. Now that the paper is done I’m SO HAPPY!! Our last day is on the 23… it’s so soon!! YES. But right now, I’m just sitting here eating Ramen noodles and thought I would say hello! I hope you guys are doing great. I’m SO EXCITED though because I’m headed out to LA next week for some meetings…. hopefully I’ll have some big news soon!! : ) I love you guys!!! Thanks for EVERYTHING!!!!

Katelyn Tarver checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@katelyntarveronline) on Monday (April 14) with the following message:

Hello hello!! Hope you all are having a happy Monday. I just got home from Tucson, AZ a few hours ago. I was there to sing for the Angel Charity fashion show , and it was so fun! It was my first trip to Arizona and they put us up in a fabulous resort. There were cacti everywhere just how I imagined it…I’d rather say cactuses haha..ANYWAY, I took some pictures so I’ll put them up soon! The charity is amazing–it was so well put together ,and I was happy to be a part of it.

Now I’m back home gearing up for my shows this weekend!! I’m SO EXCITED!! Can’t wait to perform and see you guys!

You can check out a video of me on YouTube singing the anthem at Giants Stadium–I’ll try to get it on here but until then ..you can search it on YouTube! It was so cool!! I was a little nervous because I had never sang in a “giant stadium” (HA) before so I was completely messed up by the echo!! I think I pulled it off OK but if you look closely you’ll notice me tapping my foot so I could keep a steady rhythm going haha—OK, well I’m going to finish watching the CMT awards (congratulations Taylor Swift!!!) Talk to you later—thanks for all the support!!! :)

Katelyn Tarver Can’t Wait To Start Performing Again

Katelyn Tarver checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@katelyntarveronline) on Sunday (March 30). She writes:

Hey guys! I’m so sad that my spring break is already over…but only 8 more weeks of school left! YAYAYAY.

I just got back from Orlando yesterday. I was there all week working on my show–it went great! We worked on 5 new songs…I’m so excited about it. I have two dancers/background singers named Chelsey and Josan and they are awesome! They’re very talented, and I think they’re going to add a lot to the show. I also met a band that’s going to be playing for me. My management assembled some local musicians to back me up and they’re all really nice guys. The drummers name is Kyle, the guitar players name is Shawn, and the bass players name is John or “Mop” as he likes to be called. We rehearsed every day, and I CANNOT wait to start performing again! Howie Dorough from the Backstreet Boys is co-managing me. He was able to come watch one of the rehearsals so that was very cool. He’s about to leave to tour overseas for a few months but he says he’s excited to start helping me when he returns.

Since my older brother was home, we decided to turn this trip to Orlando into a family vacation. We went to Islands of Adventure and Universal…. always fun places to visit and always fun to hang out with my family..I had a great spring break. Hope you guys have been doing well! Thanks for all the support and encouragement! Talk to you soon. Love,

Katelyn Tarver ‘More And More Anxious’ About Career

Katelyn Tarver posted the following blog on her MySpace (@katelyntarveronline) on Tuesday (September 25):

Hello everybody :).

As each day passes, I find myself growing more and more anxious about the outcome of my career. Where is my big break? I’ve been working so hard! …but what I’ve been forgetting in the past few weeks is one of my favorite quotes, “The Journey is the Joy” . My dad introduced this quote to me about three years ago when we began seriously pursuing this dream of mine, and I’ve always tried to follow it. To not only strive for success, but enjoy every step along the way. In the past few months, the pace of my career has really quickened. My new management company has introduced me to new songwriters, new producers, I have four new songs recorded…I’m really encouraged about the near future. I hope to have lots of big news for you soon.

A lot of you have asked me how I got here and what you should do to become an entertainer. Just remember, I’ve sung to a lot of crowds of less than 50 people(sometimes 12…). Keep in mind, EVERYTHING has to start somewhere however small. Whatever your art is, put it out there and don’t give up because the JOURNEY IS THE JOY!
