Keri Noble talked about meeting Kelly Clarkson at Mystic Lake Casino the other night on her blog at MySpace (@kerinobleartist) on Saturday (May 16). Noble wrote a song off the ‘American Idol’ season one winner’s new album ‘All I Ever Wanted’, the last track on the record, ‘If No One Will Listen’. The Minneapolis singer songwriter tells readers:
First of all, she’s really bubbly, lots of energy… and it’s all wrapped up in this teeny-tiny person. She’s really little. She said that after she heard my song for the first time, she decided to Google me. She’d never heard of me before. Then she was like, “You’ve been everywhere! How did I not know?” We laughed and talked a little more.
It was pretty quick, but ended with her saying, “If you’ve got any other songs, I’d love to hear them, maybe for my next record.” I wanted to say, “OF COURSE I have more songs!!!”, but decided to try and contain myself for the moment. (no need to frighten her on our first meeting)
We said goodbye, and Laurie and I took our seats for her performance.
Can I just say… the girl can SING! She did 8 songs, all the hits, and rocked every one of them. She didn’t miss a note. And the whole time, she was jumping around, giving people a great show. I was so in awe of her voice.
KIIS FM’s Sisanie and Boy Toy Jesse sat down with Kelly Clarkson backstage at Wango Tango 2009 over the weekend. The ‘American Idol’ season one champ talked about the success of the first two ‘All I Ever Wanted’ singles, what fans could expect from her live show, what she thinks about Adam Lambert, and more. Then JoJo Wright joined the conversation, giving Kelly a speed round of questions that included crazy backstage requests, never hunting for men at concerts, the meaning of ‘I Do Not Hook Up’, and her thoughts on Lady Gaga. Keri Noble checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@kerinobleartist) on Monday (March 16), talking about her current tour and picking up Kelly Clarkson’s new album ‘All I Ever Wanted’, which includes a song she wrote. The Minneapolis singer songwriter tells readers:
On our way to Vienna (Virginia), we stopped at Best Buy and picked up Kelly Clarkson’s new CD that came out that day. It was a surreal and incredible moment in my life that I will never forget. The last track on her record is called ‘If No One Will Listen’ and I wrote it. For the last year, there has been talk that this would happen, but I didn’t really believe it. Even up to a month before the CD came out, I was still told that it could change, so “don’t hold your breath”. Well, it’s real now. And she does a beautiful job of singing it.
After Laurie and I made a scene with the sales clerk who was ringing me up (lots of jumping around and screaming), we blasted it in the car and I felt like I was dreaming.

Kelly Clarkson tells Kara DioGuardi she has never felt pressure to be thin. “I feel very fortunate coming from American Idol,” the 26-year-old said in an interview with the ‘American Idol’ judge for ‘Entertainment Tonight’. “I was the biggest girl in the group. I’ve always been thicker and millions of people voted for me. People are born all different shapes and sizes. People have liked me this way.” Clarkson also laughed off the gossip that she’s a lesbian, though Kara’s earnest defense of Kelly’s gender preference, telling the singer “you definitely believe in love” and “I couldn’t believe this thing about you being a lesbian” may leave some lesbian viewers irked with the ‘Idol’ judge.

A flood of searches on popdirt.com last night wondering if Kelly Clarkson was pregnant probably wasn’t the reaction the 26-year-old or her label RCA were hoping for when the singer performed her ‘All I Ever Wanted’ lead single ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ during Wednesday night’s ‘American Idol’. Watch the performance at YouTube.
Kelly Clarkson did a live set for Wal-Mart Soundcheck in support of her new album ‘All I Ever Wanted’. The ‘American Idol’ season one champ performed ‘Walk Away’, ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’, ‘Because Of You’, ‘I Do Not Hook Up’, and ‘Since You Been Gone’. In an interview, Clarkson fielded questions from fans about the inspiration behind the album, if she feels pressure as a woman in the music industry, her favorite song on the new album, the last time she was starstruck, and more. Kelly Clarkson tells USA Today she’s grateful for the role that ‘American Idol’ played in her career, despite controversies in the past where she seemed to downplay her association with the hit show. The 26-year-old will perform her single ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ on Wednesday’s ‘Idol’ results show. “There is no artist development (at record labels) anymore, and what’s cool about the show is that you get to go on TV — which doesn’t usually happen when you’re a beginning artist — and decide what you sing, what you wear, how you talk,” Clarkson explained. “People appreciate the chance to vote for someone who may not get a record deal because they don’t fit a certain prototype.”
Clarkson also said that motherhood isn’t part of her future plans. “Oh, my God, I have no desire,” she said. “I would not be a good mother. I mean, I love being an aunt to my niece and nephew. And I used to want to, like, adopt 10 kids — because I had friends who were adopted, and I thought that was the coolest thing, to be chosen. But again, my job is too selfish.”
