Kimberley Locke checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@kimberleylocke) on Sunday (July 20). “I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and having a little fun! As for me I am working a lot but having some fun along the way,” the ‘American Idol’ season two finalist writes. “I am currently sitting on a flight from Minneapolis to LA. So I thought I would write to you all before I take my nap! Why was I in Minneapolis? I did an event for Campheartland / Oneheartland yesterday. I performed with ANT and Abigail Zsiga who were so much fun! ANT kept us laughing the entire weekend and I think Abigail is the sweetest person I’ve ever met! Unfortunately, it rained and not many people showed up but those who were there had a great time! I must say it was fun for me to see everyone enjoying the show in spite of the weather. I had a blast! Not to mention I love the charity.”

If you have anyone in mind that you think maybe a good match for me I would appreciate any contact information that you can pass along. I am still working with Curb Records and William Morris Agency, should anyone need to contact me for bookings.
Kimberley Locke checked in with fans on her MySpace (@kimberleylocke) on Wednesday (May 7), answering several questions submitted by fans. One asked what has been her biggest life lesson from the entire experience, such as making it so far in ‘American Idol’ and just other great successes she’s experienced. “My biggest life lesson has been having a good attitude and being easy to work with,” Locke said. “I have met many people working on different shows not mention crossing paths with so many of the people who worked on ‘Idol’. They remember you for your attitude and it can make or break you. I’ve also learned that as much as I love to work, it is so important for me to remember to take some time for myself and enjoy life and friends. Not to mention its important to always give back.”

I did it! Hit my weight-loss goal!
I hope this finds everyone doing well. I just wanted to drop by and say hello and thank you. You have no idea how much I enjoy reading the posts here at MySpace. Whenever I’m having a bad day I come here to remind myself just how blessed I am.
As most of you know I have been working with Jenny Craig since last November. I recently reached my weight-loss goal of 40lbs. I am so happy! It was a great feeling when I got on the scale and saw that magic number. I have spent the last 6 months being extremely focused on that alone. So to anyone out there who’s on a weight-loss journey, don’t give up! You can do it.
I have been traveling with work, doing shows here and there and everywhere. My Christmas album will be out November 6th and shortly after that I am going on tour with Dave Koz. I can’t wait! I hope to bump into some of you along the way. It was a lot of fun recording this album. Of course, I love Christmas. It’s such a beautiful time of year. I think we can all agree that people are nicer during the holiday season. (That includes me!)
‘American Idol’ season two finalist Kimberley Locke has teamed with General Mills to help raise awareness of Breast Cancer. “My aunt is a breast cancer survivor. So, as someone whose family has been directly touched by this disease, I’m very passionate about getting people talking more about their health,” said Locke. “Knowing that Black women suffer more aggressive tumors and often face the disease at a younger age, I was honored when General Mills invited me to help educate my sisters about joining this place of connection, hope and information.” To find out more about ‘Pink for the Cure’, visit myspace.com/pinktogether.
‘American Idol’ season two finalist Kimberley Locke visited Z100 in New York City on Friday (March 30). She talked about the whole Antonella Barba and Frenchie Davis controversy, her new album, this season’s ‘American Idol’, her weight loss since she’s on the new season of ‘Celebrity Fit Club’, her close friendships with fellow ‘Idol’ season two alums Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken, and her new restaurant. Locke explained a key difference in the Antonella and Frenchie debate was that Frenchie’s photos included snaps of her pleasuring herself with a Coke bottle in pornographic images for which she was paid, an especially difficult situation given Coca Cola’s advertising status with the hit program. Locke added that Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warrick went directly to Frenchie and explained to her that while they wanted to allow her to stay on, it was out of their hands.
