Kreesha Turner checked in with fans with a video blog from Shanghai, China on July 1st after performing at the 2010 World Expo for the Governor General of Canada at the Canada Day Celebrations. “We performed for the Governor General of Canada, Michaelle Jean, and a bunch of other Chinese diplomats and other countries as well,” the Canadian singer said. “All of us are here to celebrate Canad Day in a completely different country.”

Kreesha Turner posted a video blog update on her YouTube channel, recorded last week on Blue Mountain, Ontario before a private event. The singer talked about being busy in New York and Vancouver, doing a mall tour, and plugged her new single ‘Passion’.

Kreesha Turner checked in backstage at Toronto Fashion Week March 2009 for The Heart Truth Fashion Show on March 17th, where the singer performed. Turner next was seen at her hotel talking about the experience. “It was amazing,” she says. “Walked out there and did my thing and I’m so proud of myself. I was so nervous.” Turner’s next nerve-wracking moment will be at the Juno Awards in Vancouver on March 29th.

Kreesha was about to do some Christmas shopping and was heading later to the Hip Hop For Hunger fundraiser show. She’s also talked about doing a 3-song set for Citytv on New Year’s Eve Bash in Toronto.

Kreesha Turner checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Monday (November 3), after her performance at Saturday night’s ‘Fashion Cares’ AIDS/HIV fundraiser, where the Canadian singer ran into problems when it was her turn to sing.

Rushing backstage, getting into place and as my exact Que hit a group of models split from center stage revealing me. I hear the drums kick in, LETS GO! Within seconds I knew something was wrong… no music… only drums and base… but we already started… we can’t stop now. So I kept going… Acting like nothing was wrong even tho it was clear something was. I could see people in the audience looking at the guys in the sound booth wondering what was going on and why there was no music…

With only one song, it was over in lightening speed. All I can remember is getting off stage and wanting to bawl.. I know it was no one’s fault… The computer froze (damn technology)… but I can’t help but feel like I let everyone down including myself. I had such high expectations for myself that night… *sigh* guess I felt the wrath of Murphy’s law :( Regardless my band and backup singers were Amazing! Thanks guys!

This entire week I’m here in Toronto enjoying some of the last beautiful days of summer. Lucky me I had Labour Day off, so I got to rest up and prepare for the next couple weeks ahead! Yesterday, I performed live on ‘Canada AM’ which is our version of ‘Good Morning America’. So it was an early early morning but after I had the day to myself and even got to go see my first movie in ages :P I saw the movie “Traitor” with Don Cheadle (Hotel Rawanda). It was Deep!, making us see things from a perspective most of us could never even fathom.

This week is the beginning of the Toronto International Film Festival, ooh la la! Which I personally will get to experience for the first time!!!! :) :)

So I’ll let you guys know what that’s like next week! And as for other exciting news this week!!
I’m performing at a fashion event for international Fashion Designers, Dean & Dan Caten of ‘DSquared’!!!
Now that deserves a “WHOOP WHOOP” hehehe :) Ahhhh I’m so excited!!
