Myleene said, “I won’t be resorting to the playground tactics she seems to insist on.” As for Kym labeling her a bitch, she insists, “I’m not a bitch and I don’t like being labelled as one.”

Travis Comment On ‘Manufactured Bands’

March 21, 2002 – Travis took part in an online chat on BBC’s Radio 1 where they were asked “What do you think of manufactured bands like Hear’Say?” The guys responded:

Dougie Payne: I think it’s fantastic TV but it’s not really about music, is it?

Andy Dunlop: Some of the manufactured bands have great songs. They work just as hard.

Kym Marsh Forced To Give Up Free Hear’Say Car

March 3, 2002 – The Sun reports Kym was forced to give up the free 206 Coupe Cabriolet she received from Peugeot in July of last year. The car was presented as a gift to each of the members of Hear’Say to drive around and promote the automaker. A source revealed, “Kym was quite shocked that they wanted the car back. She was under the impression the cars were a gift to her and the other band members and thought it was mean of them to demand she return hers.”

Apparently there over 100,000 in a Hounslow warehouse, all with former group member Kym’s face on them – so they need to be eaten. No word if they’ll be replaced with new member Johnny Shentall.

Kym Marsh Deal With OK Magazine For Wedding In Jeopardy

February 13, 2002 – reports the OK! magazine deal that former Hear’Say singer Kym and EastEnder Jack Ryder had is in jeopardy following reports that her former bandmates refuse to take part in the wedding. When she signed the GBP300,000 deal, it was agreed that the band would perform and that Suzanne Shaw and Myleene Klass would be bridesmaids.

Kym Marsh Admits To Counseling Over Hear’Say Clashes

Kym Marsh spoke with News of the World where she revealed “There were so many rows I had counseling.” As for her main Hear’Say enemy and source of her depression that required the counseling, she admitted, “Yes, Myleene Klass and I did fight. We didn’t get on and there was a personality clash. It’s extremely unlikely that she and I will have a conversation again. The arguments started even before we released a single and carried on while we were in the band.”

Hear’Say’s Foster Confirms Kym Marsh Quit

Danny Foster talked with BBC One’s Top of the Pops to confirm that Kym Marsh had quit the group, but added, “Hear’Say will go on.” As for speculation who will replace Kym, talk that Pop Idol contestant would was rejected by a spokeswoman for the show who said, “None of the contestants would want to be in Hear’Say because they are all determined to pursue solo careers. Hear’Say revealed on their official website that they will be holding open auditions for wannabe pop stars to replace departed member Kym Marsh.

The group’s website stated, “We have been faced with some choices and although as a four piece we feel more united, ambitious and stronger then ever, we decided that to give Hear’Say the best opportunity, and because we owe it to our fans, that we should recruit a new member to give the band a new fresh look and line up.”

A poster on claiming inside information on the Kym Marsh bolt from Hear’Say is claiming the singer schemed the move when setting up her wedding picture deal with OK! Magazine. Pauline wrote, “Kym Marsh has definitely left Hear’Say and won’t be coming back. She spent December negotiating her OK! wedding deal for -300K, including several screaming phone calls to BBC legal who, in her opinion, were being too slow to clear her boyfriend’s [EastEnders star Jack Ryder] contract. January 21, 2002 – MTV UK reports a statement outlining the Hear’Say’s future was expected to be released today, January 21, but an announcement has now been put off until the end of the week. The group has been having meetings with manager Chris Herbert to try and talk Kym Marsh into staying with the part of the made-for TV band.

January 19, 2002 – Since it’s from the Sun, their use of the word ‘official’ should be taken with a grain of salt, but the UK tabloid reports Kym met the rest of the group and manager Chris Herbert yesterday and told them she would not be returning. Polydor said there will be a statement over the weekend or on Monday to make it official.

January 16, 2002 – reports Kym’s planned exit from UK pop band Hear’Say is on hold due to the band’s committed nine date tour in September. The band would have had to pay out over $5 million to break the tour arrangement so Kym will have to make up with rival Myleene Klass.

Kym Marsh Buys Wedding Dress

January 16, 2002 – The Sun reports Kym, who’s status with Hear’Say is currently in dispute, purchased a wedding gown for around $9,000 for her upcoming wedding with EastEnder Jack Ryder. An insider said that during her stop at the store she was, “constantly on the phone to Jack, calling him ‘darling.'” The tab reports Kym expects to be free of her Hear-Say contract by Friday to pursue a solo career with her own band.

The Sun talked with an insider close to Hear’Say who explained the bitter and long time rivalry between female bandmate Myleene Klass was the primary reason behind Kym Marsh’s decision to ditch the band and go solo. Said the insider, “Myleene gets all the attention because of how she looks and she acts as the group’s unofficial leader. This drives Kym mad and she can’t understand it because she is actually a better a singer than Myleene. On the other hand, Myleene gets jealous because Kym gets all the best lines to sing. They are always rowing and they had a huge fight on Monday.”

An insider revealed, “Kym thought if they were going as a gesture to entertain the troops it would have been fair enough. When she found out they were going to take a BBC crew with them she thought it had been turned into a shameless publicity stunt.”

December 27, 2001 – NME spoke with bookmakers William Hill that Hear’Say are favored to be the next pop group to split following the announcement by Steps yesterday. Odds are 6/4 that Hear’Say will split before December 31, 2002, while they are also offering odds of 5/2 on Westlife, while S Club 7 are at 6/1 and The Tweenies have odds of 33/1.

December 12, 2001 – The Sun reports soap star Jack Ryder will announce next week his plans to marry Hear’Say singer Kym Marsh. As for the timing, an insider revealed, “Both Jack and Kym have busy schedules next year – Hear’Say start an arena tour in June – so they haven’t decided yet whether to marry before or after that.”

December 4, 2001 – The Sun reports Hear’Say have debuted on the album charts at a horrible #20 with only 9,443, which compares against 306,631 for their debut album’s first week. A spokesman admits, “The market is incredibly hard at the moment but we are still hoping for some good sales in the run up to Christmas. If we had brought this out in the summer these sales would easily have given it a No1.”
