Lady Gaga is defending her song ‘Born This Way’ after it was compared with Madonna’s ‘Express Yourself’, and in the process had to apologize for using an offensive term. “I’m a songwriter. I’ve written loads of music. Why would I try to put out a song and think I’m getting one over on everybody,” the 25-year-old said during an interview with NME. “What a completely ridiculous thing to even question me about. I will look you in your eyes and tell you that I am not dumb enough or moronic enough to think that you are dumb enough or moronic enough not to see that I would have stolen a melody. If you put the songs next to each other, side by side, the only similarities are the chord progression. It’s the same one that’s been in disco music for the last 50 years. Just because I’m the first fu**ing artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn’t mean I’m a plagiarist, it means that I’m fu**ing smart.”
The pop star has since told PerezHilton.com: “I consider it part of my life’s work and music to push the boundaries of love and acceptance. My apologies for not speaking thoughtfully. To anyone that was hurt, please know that it was furiously unintentional. An honest mistake, requires honesty to make,” she said. “Whether life’s disabilities, left you outcast bullied or teased, rejoice and love yourself today.”

The vessel’s actually stored, and I’m sure it’ll come out again. I think it’s such a beautiful piece that I would like to bring it out again for a moment. I think we’re getting ready to do a lot of television in May, right before the album drops, so I think we’ll use it somewhere in there.
With Lady Gaga on again with Luc Carl, a friend of the night club manager says marriage and children could soon be in their future. “Luc is so respectful and sees Gaga as his soulmate, not just a lover. He knows she’s ‘The One’ and can’t wait to settle down and have kids with her. She feels he makes her complete,” the source told more! magazine in their ‘Gaga’s Summer Wedding Plans’ cover story. “As a couple, it’s second-time round for these two. It was largely a physical attraction before, but now they’re completely absorbed in one another, physically and emotionally. So they want to prove their commitment by getting married.”

Rebecca Black did a Q&A with Entertainment Weekly, where the 13-year-old was asked about Lady Gaga defending her and calling the ‘Friday’ singer a “genius”. Black said, “That’s so cool! I feel so star-struck, even though I haven’t met her. It’s so surreal, it’s so crazy. I was just listening to ‘Born this Way’. I really love all of her songs, I have almost every song of hers on my iPod and I think she’s really a lyrical genius. Her songs are just so upbeat and fun and catchy.” Black also talked about donating the ‘Friday’ single sales towards the Japan earthquake relief, being recognized by kids in public, her favorite singers and how exactly she parties.
