Lenka Wraps Up Tour With Missy Higgins & Justin Nozuka
Lenka updated fans on her blog at MySpace on Wednesday (March 25) after wrapping up her tour with fellow Australian singer songwriter Missy Higgins and Canadian/American artist Justin Nozuka. ‘The Show’ singer tells readers:
We played our last show with Missy Higgins and Justin Nozuka at the Fillmore in San Francisco and, wow, what a place to do it! Legendary for a reason…
I’d lke to say a huge thanks to those two for having me on their tour, especially to Missy, who is an old friend from Australia and it has just been so special to be out on the road together… xx
We all stayed at the venue afterwards being very silly. We invented a new sport, which I can’t describe with words alone, but I can say this - my quads are like jelly today and I can’t walk because of it!
Check out pictures from the night here.

Lenka Talks SXSW, Covers And Dimple Scar
Lenka did an interview with IMEEM’s Campus Noise, where the Australian singer songwriter talked about something nobody knows about her - her dimple is actually a scar, songs she likes to cover live, what she’s been listening to lately, some Australian acts she thinks people should check out, who she’s excited to see if she has time at SXSW, and more.
Video at imeem.com has since been removed (the site was bought out by MySpace).
Lenka And Her Band’s Exercise Video
In order to not go insane, Australian singer songwriter Lenka and her band have made a mock exersize video. So fit, so healthy, so stupid. Inspired by the genius of Tim and Eric’s Awesome Show, Steve Erwin, Jane Fonda and Aerobics OZ Style. The clip stars Lenka, Danny Levin, Stella Mozgawa, Erik Kertes, John Graney and Ed Baker. Watch it via Blender below.
Lenka Misses Dallas Show Due To Transportation Troubles
Lenka apologized to fans hoping to see her perform at the House of Blues in Dallas on Saturday with Missy Higgins and Justin Nozuka, blaming it on mechanical troubles. The Australian singer songwriter tells readers on her blog at MySpace:
Hi guys, I’m so sorry to anyone who was planning to see me tonight in Dallas, but we’ve broken down and will not make the gig tonight!!!
I’m soooo bummed, but if you’re going, you’ll have a great night - Missy and Justin are phenomenal.
On the bright side, we are stranded in Austin, and I really love this city. Last night after the show (which was amazing, thanks you guys) we went to a beard and moustache competition. It was very fun.
Lotsa love!
xxLenka.
Lenka Performs Disco Remix Of ‘The Show’ In Toronto
Lenka checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace on Wednesday (February 4) while in Boston during her current tour. The Australian singer songwriter tells readers:I'm in Boston, wrapped up in a hotel robe, hiding from the snowy outdoors and relishing some relax-time.
Been on the road for about 25 days, eaten about 17 pounds of crappy truck stop food and done about 14 live shows.
Here's a highlight - the other night in Toronto we decided to do a live disco remix of The Show. It's something we muck around with at soundcheck sometimes, and i was feeling inspired by the recent remixes of Trouble and Don't Let Me Fall (you'll hear them soon), and the fact that it was my first sold out show! Check out this fan's video of it...so funny.

It's been two weeks out on the road now. My first headline tour, very exciting! The shows have been uniquely amazing in each city... It's bizarre how different the vibe is every night. The audience is so important in that and I'd like to say thanks to all my amazing fans for coming out to see me and showing support! I'm having a ball...
We made this stop-motion video of life on the road so far. Thanks to my art-director James Gulliver Hancock and my band mates for being a part of it.
Hope to see you in your town soooooon!
