Lily Allen holds up copy of The Sun reporting she's pregnant

and boyfriend Sam Cooper are expecting their first child, with the couple breaking the news to their friends and family last weekend that the singer is pregnant. “It goes without saying we are both absolutely delighted,” Lily told The Sun.

“Sam treats me differently. He’s told me he’ll look after me forever. That’s what I’ve always wanted – someone to look after me,” the 25-year-old singer said. “We’ve never had one argument and there’s absolutely nothing about him that annoys me. He’s not impressed by what I do.”

Lily Allen Not Happy With Jon Snow Grilling Of Zac Goldsmith

sounded off to her Twitter followers (@lilyroseallen) in wake of an angry exchange between Zac Goldsmith, the Conservative MP for Richmond Park, and Channel 4 broadcaster Jon Snow about claims the wealthy Tory broke the rules on election spending. Watch it at YouTube. Allen writes:

So Zac Goldsmith is rich. Get over it @channel4. So transparent. Ugh

@Mrs_Dav the point is, all candidates are guilty of the same, but they’ve only gone after goldy cause he’s famously wealthy.

@Linda_Marric I’m labour till I die. I can spot discrimination a mile off though. And I know what journalists are like.

People won’t stop till a head turns up on a plate. So British, and depressing. If you want to destroy someones life and career, why go after one of the richest men in the country, when he’s got so much to fall back on? Won’t feel like a real accomplishment.

Lily Allen Not Willing To Tour As She Prepares To Have Children

spoke with Glamour magazine for their July issue, explaining that she’s putting her career on hold to focus on starting a family with boyfriend Sam Cooper. “Because people have stopped buying music, the only way to make money is to tour – and I’m not willing to do that with babies around,” the 25-year-old reasoned. “A part of the way I became who I became was because I was subjected to a certain lifestyle from an early age. My parents hung out with famous people, but we didn’t necessarily reap the same financial benefits. So there was a part of me thinking, ‘I wanna be like those people’. And once I’d achieved it, it didn’t make me happy. So I don’t want to put my kids in that position. I’d rather set up businesses, put a roof over our heads, then move to the country to shelter them for a bit.” Read more.

Baby Could Mean Lengthy Wait For New Lily Allen Music

appeared on Geoff Lloyd’s Hometime Show on Absolute Radio in London the other day, where she discussed her visit to the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil to highlight the plight of the rainforest and how she can’t wait to become a mother. The singer said it would be a “minimum 4 to 5 years” before she’d release a new album, and the time seemed to point to the growing speculation that she’s pregnant, which Geoff repeatedly hinted at. “I’d like to have a child within a year. It’ll be a minimum of four or five years before I make a record again,” the 25-year-old, who is currently dating painter and decorator Sam Cooper, told the radio host. “I know what commitment it takes to release an album. I don’t think that mixes well with the idea of settling down and having children, which is ultimately my goal and more of a priority than flying around the world.” Watch the 2-part interview via YouTube below.

Texas singer tells The Sun she’s a big fan of ’s outspokenness, a trait she shares with the ‘Smile’ singer. “I think Lily’s great,” the 42-year-old told Tim Nixon. “When people wage war on somebody and that person retorts to it, they’re a bit like, ‘What are you having a go at me for?’ Lily’s like, ‘Well, because you said this.’ I think Lily’s very aware of what she’s saying and what she’s doing. I can see where Lily’s coming from. I read a lot of what she says and piss myself laughing – she says a lot of what people think. At the end of the day she’s made two great albums, and as long as she’s making great records she can say what she wants. All power to her.”

Lily Allen & Sister To Open Designer Clothing Store, Will Be Documented For TV Show

has signed on to have her move to be a a shopkeeper for a designer clothing store with her sister documented. The shop will be called Lucy in Disguise, and the show will also follow the pop star as she readies her own record label. “Lily was approached about the TV show and thought it would help promote her new ventures as well as letting people get to know her a bit better,” a source told The Sun.

Lily also hinted at “retirement” in postings to her Twitter followers (@lilyroseallen) on Monday:

Now that I’ve retired in gonna try and get on “come dine with me” I’m making chicken tarragon and leek pie tonight. Yum .
