Louise Redknapp checked in with fans on her blog at MySpace (@louiseredknapp) on Wednesday (December 23), wishing them a Merry Christmas. The British singer and presenter writes:
I’m so excited now Christmas is getting closer – I love it! For me, Christmas time is all about family and this year we have a new addition coming in to the Redknapp household – a new puppy to keep Bella, our bulldog company. I can’t wait to see Charley and Beau’s faces when they see it – I’m holding my breath to see the names Charley comes up with though!
I’m sure most of you are underway with your Christmas shopping. I am desperately trying to find a day when I can hit the shops. My biggest spend around this year is candles. I love receiving them and I think they’re a great gift to give too. A couple of my favorite designer candles are Jo Malone and Rob Van Helden.

Louise Redknapp has spoken about doing some extreme dieting for her new documentary ‘The Truth About Size Zero’, coming to ITV1 soon. “I was only allowed to diet for 30 days because that is the maximum time that it is safe to follow such a strict diet,” the singer explained. “But towards the end I remember thinking, ‘It’s kind of nice to feel your jeans loosening.’ Oh my God, it felt pretty good. It was the first time I could wear skinny jeans and flat shoes and not feel fat. At that point I actually liked my body better, which is frightening. But my face and neck looked gaunt and, anyway, I couldn’t have maintained it. I felt like crap. But it just shows how addictive it can be and I can see why people find it appealing to be that size. That was quite scary and something I wasn’t prepared for.” Read more.
