Marie Digby Returns From Japan, Now Heads To Israel

Marie Digby updated fans on her blog at MySpace (@mariedigby) on Saturday (September 6). The singer writer tells readers:

I just got back from Japan several days ago… still haven’t gotten over the jet lag!

Now I’m leaving for Israel in a few hours for a little vacation with my family.

I’ve seen them all at different times but it’s been a long while since we’ve all spent more than a day together. I guess that’s what happens as my sisters and I get older and become more involved in our own activities. I’m sure that when we all start to get married, have children, it’ll become nearly impossible to coordinate our schedules for family vacations! So I better enjoy this time now…

Just about everything went wrong – my mic wasn’t on, my guitar wouldn’t make a sound, my guitar string popped as soon as the sound came back on, i forgot lyrics.. chords !!! but THEN – everything took a turn when these studs took it upon themselves to come up on stage and dance while I played ‘Umbrella’. Thanks guys :)”

Marie Digby Talks About Guitar Contest, Asia Visit

Marie Digby posted a video update talking about how difficult it was picking a winner of her guitar contest and the time she enjoyed in Singapore and MalaysiaMarie Digby checked in just after getting back from Asia, where her suitcase is in the process of being re-packed because she’s left on Saturday for her U.S tour. She also talked about her contest winner for her guitar and her agony picking a single winner, as well as having “the time of my life” in Singapore and Malaysia.

“Let me say that doing this contest, for me, I thought it was going to be la dee da, just a lot of fun. I’ll just pick a winner, give them a guitar and that’s it, but no, it was actually really heartbreaking and it was so hard for me to pick one winner because I really, really loved every single entry, and I’m not joking about that. I watched each one at least four or five times and I couldn’t pick a winner because I couldn’t stand the idea of hurting the feelings of 244 people and just making one person happy. I was like okay, get it together. No one is going to do this for you, just pick a winner, send them a guitar and that’s it with contests.”

Talking about her trip, Marie said, “I just got back from Singapore and Malaysia, and I had the time of my life. I really did. It was incredible. It was everything I had hoped for and more. I got to meet so many new people. In Sinapore we did a show and I was so impressed because there were people who were singing along to songs that are not on the radios over there so you guys are listening to my stuff on YouTube or are buying my album, so thank you so much. That really made my week.”
