Former M2M star Marion Raven appears on ‘Bat Out of Hell III’ singing alongside Meat Loaf in the first single, ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.’
Raven wrote on her blog at Myspace:
I spent two exciting days in LA shooting from 10 in the morning until 6 am the next morning. It was like making a small movie and I brought out the actress I had in me; playing dead to hysterically crying! I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did making it! Marion.

Former M2M star Marion Raven checked in with fans on June 26th after settling in her new home in Los Angeles. “I have always wondered how it would be to live in L.A.,” Raven writes. “I’ve been thinking about it for a year now and have finally made the move. Feels like I’m cheating big time on my first love New York, but I was ready for some changes (I will probably run right back when I start missing the winter). I feel inspired. Living right on Sunset where the big rock stars used to walk around. Passing the Whisky A Go Go every afternoon, where my favorite artists ones performed, artists such as The Doors, Janis Joplin and Led Zeppelin. It’s good to be close to my songwriter friends and have the possibility to call in the middle of the night with an idea. Feels like I’m here for a purpose.”

MTVAsia.com’s Lennat Mak caught up with Marion Raven when she was in Singapore. Asked if she felt lonely or scared while she was in New York recording her debut solo album, the former M2M star said, “I did at first. The first time I went there, it was like a big city. I’m from Norway, there’s only four million people in the whole country! So I felt like a little girl in this big city, alone. And I don’t go to school, so it’s hard to get friends. You just can’t go on the streets and go ‘Hi, do you want to be my friend?’ (Laughs) But after a while, I start meeting some people and now I really love being there. I really got settled in! And I’m actually getting more used to living by myself and getting more independent. You have to do everything — from paying electric bills, phone bills, to laundry. And after a few weeks, your apartment starts to get really dusty and you just have to wash it!” The transcript at mtvasia.com has since been removed.

Kicking off the tour on June 17th, with Malaysia being the first country, Marion Raven will be in Kuala Lumpur for a five-day tour to promote the album. “I’m really looking forward to come back to Malaysia again. It’s really excited to be able to come back to perform in Kuala Lumpur, meeting all the fans, and hopefully get to meet some familiar faces. Since my last visit five years ago, I have heard about all the great changes in Kuala Lumpur – like the Twin Towers, the great big shopping malls, and also the surf pool in Sunway Lagoon,” Marion said.

The former M2M star writes, “Thank you so much for all your birthday wishes. I had a great day at home celebrating my day. I got a wetsuit, the Rolling Stones bio book, AC/DC DVD set, and a hippy shirt that said ‘I love beach surfing’, and A Ramones live DVD. I ate strawberries with milk and sugar and drank the Norwegian soda Solo. I then packed and flew back to New York the next morning. I am so happy I got to spend my birthday at home, but I will now party how you’re suppose to party when you turn 21 in America. It’s very important.”
Former M2M star Marion Raven checked in with fans on her official forum on Saturday (May 14). Raven writes, “Hi Everyone. As you can see everything is happening at the same time right now. It’s all very exciting. I am working my ass off, but at the same time doing what I love to do. It’s my first real day off in a long time and I thought I would say hi. I am sorry that it’s been little time to answer your questions here on the forum, but it’s only because I am out there making videoes, doing interviews and having showcases. Hope you’re all doing well. I am relaxing at home with my family and trying to get my voice back. I have big problems with pollen allergies and my voice is completely gone! SCARY! But I will hopefully be back on my feet by the end of the week. Marion. PS: Working on a new website as we speak.. I know it’s not much on it right now.. stay with me!”
