Meiko takes viewers through the process of getting ready to go on her first ever headlining tour in a video clip at her MySpace Video channel. The singer songwriter is first seen with her suitcase before selecting some outfits to bring on the road. She also brought along green tea, vitamins, pillow and a baseball glove. Meiko also offers a look inside her underwear drawer, selecting an assortment of panties. Watch it below.
Meiko updated fans on her blog at MySpace on Sunday (April 19), talking about her big move. The singer songwriter tells readers:
Things have been better than ever lately. I moved out of my sh**ty apartment FINALLY! And now I’m in a place that I love so much. And it’s all mine. I even have hard wood floors!
What what!? Not bragging – just super proud of myself for actually making that move. It was very necessary. My old apartment was a hand me down from my sister – who (bless her heart) had 2 dogs and a cat living with her who loved to chew carpet. uhhh… (that’s a joke in itself- not gonna go there)
Anyway- point is- I’m really happy.

Metromix.com caught up with Meiko in a Q&A, asking the singer songwriter about how she hooked up with Crystal Method on the song ‘Falling Hard’. “Super randomly. I was playing a show and they just happened to be in the audience, and afterwards both of them came up to me and they’re like, ‘We really like your voice, we want you to do a song with us,’” Meiko explained. “And sure enough, they contacted me a couple days later, and I went to the studio and they played me a couple of different songs that they were looking for writers for. And I gravitated towards, of course, the slowest one. They burned it on a CD, and I kept it in my car and I listened to it for about a month non-stop. And my manager called me one morning; he was like, ‘Did you write that song? Because we have to turn it in today.’ And I was like, ‘Hold on, give me 30 minutes.’ And I got off the phone with him and put my contacts in and just wrote the song off the top of my head and recorded it on my GarageBand and turned it in. I think I wrote it on the back of a cereal box. [Laughs]“

OK, OK – I’m ready to tell you my BIG news!!
I’m officially going out on my first-ever HEADLINING tour across the country! Yay!!
That means I’ll be able to take my band with me! I’m so excited – this a big step for me and definitely something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time…
I’m going to some of my favorite cities, and I’ll even get to play my home town at my favorite bar, The Hummingbird! Hoooray!

I went to Perez Hilton’s birthday party at the Viper Room… It was awesome… I saw many Hollywooders there, but all in all it was a great time. Did I mention that Amanda Bynes is HUGE (Tall)! She knocked me in the face with her purse… Only one other person has done that and it was Venus Williams.
Christina Aguelarararra sang gitchi gitchi yayaya and it was pretty damn good, I’m not gonna lie. She’s a great performer and I have a new-found respect for her. I was impressed. Also – The Jonas Brothers were there… They sang “Happy Birthday” …another song they didn’t write. But they sure were fricken cute. What are they? Italian? Mmm…

I just got back from my first ever Pilates class and it kicked my arse. I loved it. Goal this year… to have a body like Megan Fox (who happens to take classes at the same place).
I got a late start, but 2009 will be the year of tightness. Tite like a tiger. Yeah!
It feels really good to be back home, after Austin and Georgia… I had so much fun in both places. Austin was great because I got to see a lot of old friends… and GA was cool cause I just hung out with my favorite parents. It was exactly what I needed. Funny how home just feeds the soul.

When I 1st moved to LA, I was a juice bar girl at Gold’s Gym in downtown… I was scheduled to work on my 20th Birthday- and they wouldn’t let me have it off. ..
I got up at my usual 6am to catch the metro train… I was running a bit late and ran up the stairs as soon as I heard it approaching … I tripped on my shoe and busted my knee up… I picked myself up, and continued to run…
I saw the doors close and I was overly bummed.
I remember sitting by myself holding my bloody knee and crying – I vowed never to work again on my Birthday, and never have…

I got some weird bonus round thing where these balls were flying around in this gigantic glass ball at the top, and all the sudden – It said I won 33000 nickels and I screamed “Yay! I just won a sh** ton of nickels!!” and this dude in a suit came by and gave me all hundreds…. SO — I went to the roulette table, put a $100 on black, the I just kept doing that til I made $1000.00…. SO – then I took that money and decided not to play anymore….
