MoZella updated fans on her blog at MySpace on Thursday (September 17) with news on her second album. The pop singer writes:

Hey everyone! My new album “Belle Isle” comes out 10/20/09 on Universal/Motown records. Spread the word!!!
Also, I will be doing some record release shows around the US that week.
Mark your calendars if you live in Chicago, NYC, or LA.
I will keep you posted on exacts when we get it all sorted out!!!!

MoZella checked in with fans on her YouTube channel to reveal that her one album contract deal with Warner Bros. Records has ended. She said there was talk about doing another album with them, but it was decided that’s not going to happen. Despite that news, she does plan on putting a record album out this summer. “I look at it as being set free to find the next artistic step, and take the next artistic plunge into something else,” she explained.

Video has since been removed.

MoZella checked in with a video update from her couch. The singer talked about being “really excited” about the next record, attending a Warner Bros. Grammy party and an Oscar party, and a forum her fans have started.

MoZella checked in with her MySpace friends on Wednesday (December 5) with the following announcement:

Greetings everyone!

For being such awesome fans this year, I’ve decided to make my Christmas song available to download on my MySpace page. So head on over there and grab it! Share it with your loved ones and co-workers. Put it on a Holiday mix cd! It’s my way of saying thanks for being so supportive this year. Hope this month is filled with joy and laughter!

MoZella posted a video blog where the singer was hanging out at Electric Fetus in Minneapolis on Friday (August 24), getting ready to watch Talib Kweli perform an in-store event.

The pop singer has since removed the video from YouTube.
