Though Girls Aloud management wanted the British girl group to return to the studio to begin work on their next album by year’s end, Nadine Coyle tells News of the World that won’t be happening. “I haven’t really spoke to anyone in the Girls Aloud camp. We don’t have any plans,” said Coyle, who is busy working on her solo album. “Everyone was deserving of having a break. Some of the girls were older and wanted to relax. Some wanted to do solo stuff. Everyone is entitled to go and do their own things.”
As for reports she’s had a falling out with her only bandmate who has put out solo material during the group’s hiatus, Coyle said, “I’ve always been close to Cheryl. We’re completely different people. We respect each other for what we’ve done and the different places we’ve come from in life.”

Nadine Coyle checked in with a message from the studio on her YouTube channel as the Girls Aloud member records her debut solo album. “I’m just in the studio in London, working really, really hard on my album,” Coyle says in the clip. “Want to do my best possible album it could be for all of us to hear, hope you’re all having a good day and I can’t wait to see you really, really soon.” Watch it below.
Nadine Coyle was photographed losing her shoe as she walked up the stairs in London, England on Thursday (March 11). The photos had many concerned that the Girls Aloud star was getting scary skinny, but she insisted to The Sun there’s no issue with her weight. “It looks like my legs are thinner than normal, but that was just a terrible picture,” the 24-year-old told Gordon Smart. “I have always had incredibly skinny legs. It’s in my family. If anything, I have put weight on since the last Girls Aloud tour.”

Nadine Coyle checked in with her Twitter followers (@NadineWorldwide) earlier today to deny gossip reports that suggested she and Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Cole are no longer friends. The 24-year-old writes:

After an hour on the phone with each other on Christmas Eve, Nadine Coyle and Cheryl Cole have resolved their differences and want to make a fresh start for 2010. “It all started with a text message that Nadine sent to Cheryl wishing her a happy Christmas,” an insider told The Daily Star. “Cheryl texted her straight back and the next thing you knew they were on the phone having a real heart to heart.
