Though Girls Aloud management wanted the British girl group to return to the studio to begin work on their next album by year’s end, Nadine Coyle tells News of the World that won’t be happening. “I haven’t really spoke to anyone in the Girls Aloud camp. We don’t have any plans,” said Coyle, who is busy working on her solo album. “Everyone was deserving of having a break. Some of the girls were older and wanted to relax. Some wanted to do solo stuff. Everyone is entitled to go and do their own things.”

As for reports she’s had a falling out with her only bandmate who has put out solo material during the group’s hiatus, Coyle said, “I’ve always been close to Cheryl. We’re completely different people. We respect each other for what we’ve done and the different places we’ve come from in life.”

Nadine Coyle is having difficulty finding a solo record deal as Girls Aloud continue their break, getting rejected by the British girl group’s own record company Polydor and other Universal imprints. “Nadine had meetings but none of the Universal labels wanted to take her on. She’s tried to get a deal elsewhere but with no luck,” a source told The Sun. Nadine was the only Girls Aloud member seeking to follow the solo success of Cheryl Cole, though Coyle has at least landed a songwriting deal with EMI.

Nadine Coyle is getting the help of hitmaker Guy Chambers to help pen tracks off her upcoming solo debut, as the Girls Aloud star hopes to follow the success of her bandmate Cheryl Cole. “Guy Chambers doesn’t just work with anyone,” a source told The Sun. “He’s incredibly selective about who he agrees to collaborate with and, to be frank, he’s the most expensive in the business to hire. He has seen something in Nadine he really admires.”

The Sun has learned Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud is about to spend more than $1.7 million of her recently-acquired fortune to purchase a run down hotel in Los Angeles. “She has been searching for the right place for a while. The hotel will be done out with an old Fifties Hollywood theme,” a source revealed. “It will be a trendy boutique hotel and she hopes to turn the bar into an exclusive celebrity hang-out It’s another exciting addition to Nadine’s portfolio.
