Natalie Imbruglia thanked fans on her official site’s message board for all the encouragement, kind words on White Lillies Island, and birthday wishes they’ve given the singer. Natalie said, “I cannot believe how much trouble you all went to. I am sorry for not logging on very often, but I sure am glad I did today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the birthday wishes, and all the kind things you said about WLI. It gives me so much encouragement. I truly appreciate it. I had a great party on Friday night and got a cold as a result, so I have been taking it easy. Back to work tomorrow. Can’t wait for Wrong Impression to be released. I will speak to you all very soon. Hi to all the new folk on the Board, and special Hi to the old crew, you know who you are! Lots of Love, Natalie”

The Sydney Morning Herald spoke with Natalie Imbruglia about dealing with paparazzi and dating rumors. Over Christmas, she was in Australia to spend time with her rock star boyfriend, Daniel Johns of Silverchair. Natalie explained a hotel stay during that time where she gloated about eating a meal there undercover as the photographer missed a shot, “We won. It’s like a little game. Sometimes they win; sometimes you win. I don’t mind, I’m quite playful about it. I don’t take it too seriously. As long as I’m not picking my nose or pulling my undies out of my bum.”

Fans of Natalie Imbruglia are up in arms over the singer’s new CD with copy protection technology… not only because they can’t copy it, but because many can’t even play it! A spokesman for record company BMG says, “We do need to respond. Certain limitations of the protection technology were unforeseeable and only emerged when the CDs were released to the public.” No word on what exactly BMG will do for some ‘White Lilies Island’ album owners.

Natalie Imbruglia talked to dotmusic.com following her year off. Natalie said of her upcoming album, “It’s more of a band sound than on the first album. There’s a Sunday’s influence that I like. I want to have happy good feeling songs in amongst the miserable ballads (that I’m good at) but I wanted the balance. There’s a way of doing it with melodic guitar where you can have uplifting songs without it being cheesy.”
