Nerina Pallot’s Blogged Off

Nerina Pallot checked in with fans on her official web site’s blog on Friday (September 1). “I am afraid I am bored of blogging, friends,” she writes. “I am bored of the internet, and I imagine that many of you, if you are remotely interested in real, physical life, are bored too. Suddenly, every fu**er is a blogger. Which was kind of sweet, but now it appears that blogging also means people who can’t write writing for people who can’t read. Which means lots of random sh** and everything being, like, soooo random, like, y’know. It’s amusing for about five minutes. Those five minutes are, regrettably, up for me, because until we fast-forward about two years and there is some means of monitoring what is worth reading, and what is simply a waste of moments of your life you will never get back, I can’t be arsed.” The entire post at nerinapallot.com has since been removed.

Nerina Pallot Visits Radio 2

Nerina Pallot visited Dermot O’Leary’s program on Radio 2 on Saturday (April 8). Pallot talked about landing a record deal and the difficulty “making it” in the business, the new album ‘Fires’, starting in music as a violinist, studying art briefly, how it’s easier to get an audience now with the internet, touring with James Blunt, and more. Pallot then performed her new single ‘Everybody’s Gone To War’ and a cover of Kylie Minogue’s ‘Confide In Me’. A replay of the program, with Pallot dropping in about 1 hour and 15 minutes in, has been removed from bbc.co.uk/radio2.
