New Kids on the Block are back with their first album in 15 years. CNN’s Denise Quan spoke with the Boston boy band about how they feel being back after such a long time apart, Jonathan Knight’s fortunate timing getting in and out of the real estate market, Donnie Walhberg buying his first iPod and jokingly lamenting about the decline of the CD and 8-track since thir last release, and hitting the road on a world tour starting later this month. As for all the guys being in great shape after all these years, Donnie said, “Chubby is underrated.” Watch the interview below.

New Kids On The Block member Donnie Wahlberg and his wife, Kim Fey Wahlberg, are ending their eight year marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” in Los Angeles Superior Court. “I can confirm that the couple are divorcing,” Wahlberg’s publicist told E! News. “They have been separated for almost a year but remain close friends.” The pair have two children, Xavier, 15 and Elijah, 7, whom 39-year-old Kim is seeking sole custody. The split comes just in time for Walhberg hitting the road next month in support of NKOTB’s comeback album ‘The Block’, released September 2nd.

A 90-second clip of the New Kids On The Block’s new track ‘Single’ featuring Ne-Yo has been posted online. The track will appear on NKOTB’s forthcoming album ‘The Block’, which is due out on September 2nd. ‘Single’ will be available for purchase on iTunes August 12th. The audio teaser has since been removed.
In the finale of the New Kids On The Block ‘Making of Summertime’ video series, Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and Joey McIntyre are shown dancing at the Tiki Bar, filming the doo-wop segment in Malibu, and ending with a heartfelt finale.
“We had a good day at the beach. We went home and took a nice shower. We got all spruced up and now we’re gonna get our groove on and our party on with the lovely ladies in the Tiki bar,” Jordan said.
The reunited boy band will release their new album on September 2nd, and ‘Summertime’ is available on iTunes now. Watch the clip below.
Part two of New Kids On The Block’s making of the ‘Summertime’ video has been posted online. Follow Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre, Jordan and Jonathan Knight to Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California while Jon shoots his driving sequence, then to Topanga Canyon for Danny’s running scene and finally to Topanga Beach where all the guys reunite.
“It’s early in the morning. I think it’s like 8 o’clock,” Jonathan said. “We’re here on the set of our video for ‘Summertime’. It’s the first video we’ve done in maybe like 14 years.”
‘Summertime’ is available on iTunes now and will appear on their forthcoming album due out on September 2nd via Interscope Records.

“The concept of the video is that we’ve been separated for 15 years, we’ve been away, we’ve been apart, we’ve been all over place and all over the world, but summertime is rolling around, and after all these years, it’s time,” Donnie explained. “My character sends a text off to all the guys, and we all decide to meet. We head to the beach, as we’re at the beach, we’re all reminiscing about girls of the past. We head to a club, we hang out and party a little bit until we come to the doo-wop part of the song, which is wear we actually first are together as a whole group.”
