Nick Lachey Falls For Jessica Simpson Look-Alike Emily Gimmel

Star magazine reports that in wake of their report ’s relationship with Vanessa Minnillo was in trouble, the singer was spotted chatting up a look-alike at the Kentucky Derby Spectacular at Glassworks last weekend. Nick, joined by his brother Drew, quickly spotted curvy blonde and ‘Southern Belles’ star Emily Gimmel.

“She’s a dead ringer for Jessica; I thought Nick’s eyes were going to pop out of his head!” the witness said, adding that Gimmel “was obviously interested too.”

Boy Toy Jesse of KIIS FM caught up with in Paradise Island the other day, where the pop star talked about his new single ‘Patience’ and album ‘Coming Up for Air’, producing ‘Center Stage’ for MTV, getting “this bum rap that we’re always on vacation”, how part of his job is to be in shape, waiting for something big to get another tattoo, and how he “can’t wait” to become a dad. “Every album you do, you’re proud of it in a different way,” the former 98 Degrees star said of the new CD, coming out in May. “This album for me, obviously I’m in a different place in life than I was the last time, so it’s reflecting a different kind of chapter in my life.” Watch the interview below.

visited ‘Access Hollywood’ host Billy Bush’s radio show, talking about the controversy surrouding his ex-wife ’s weight gain, the story behind their breakup, that story about Jessica’s dad shafting him out of $500,000 on a workout video, wanting to be known for his music rather than a reality show, and teaming up with ‘American Idol’ judge Kara DioGuardi for a duet on the former 98 Degrees singer’s upcoming album, ‘Coming Up For Air’. “She and I wrote it together,” Lachey said. “Initially, just in the studio, we thought, ‘All right, let’s sing it together and then we’ll maybe find someone else to be on it,’ but she did such a great job on it.” Watch highlights of the interview below.

People caught up with in Tampa Bay Friday night, where the former 98 Degrees singer was hosting a kickoff party for his Super Skins Celebrity Golf Tournament. The 35-year-old talked about how great it is his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo is as much of a sports fan as he is. “In fact, football night often becomes date night, which is a nice combo for me,” the Cincinnati native said. “She’s down to hang out and go to the game. So it’s definitely something we agree on.”
