Asked about why he got in a serious relationship with Vanessa Minnillo so soon after his divorce from , the former 98 Degrees singer responded, “I can’t be like the Playboy guy. I mean I love George Clooney, I couldn’t be George Clooney. You know, just be like a serial dater. For me, I enjoy – even though my marriage didn’t work out – I enjoy the idea of being married. For me that’s the ultimate goal, to have a family and all.”

Nick also talked about his new album ‘Coming Up For Air’, and his new single off the album ‘Patience’, a cover of the Take That hit. Watch a portion of the interview below.

Jessica Simpson: Nick Lachey Wasn’t The Right One

tells Cosmopolitan magazine in a December cover story that her Dallas Cowboys boyfriend Tony Romo is different from the men of her past, including ex-husband . “Nick will always be a part of my life,” Simpson said of her ex-hubby. “But next time, I’m marrying the right one.”

Simpson also said the idea that she and Romo would marry is definitely a possibility. “I think any person who I’m gonna date for longer than six months, I definitely am investing in something long-term,” she explained. “If I get married again, then it will be the last time.” Read more.

Vanessa Minnillo tells People magazine that her boyfriend was the first to drop the “L” word to her. “The L-word is not thrown around by men as easily as it is by women, but I didn’t say it first,” the former MTV VJ said. “He’s very loving. We’re very open and vocal.” The 27-year-old added that “what a girl wants more than anything in the world is for their boyfriend to say ‘I love you.’” Read more.

Nick Lachey & Jimmy Johnson Promote Super Skins Celebrity Golf Classic

and NASCAR champ Jimmy Johnson promoted their the Super Skins Celebrity Golf Classic on ‘The Early Show’ plaza with Dave Price on Tuesday (January 15). The event will to be held in Scottsdale, Ariz. on February 2nd, before Super Bowl XLII. Proceeds will benefit multiple charities, including The Foundation and The Jimmie Johnson Foundation, both of which are dedicated to assisting children, families and communities in need throughout the United States.

Asked what brought him together with Jimmy, Nick responded, “Well we actually met through some mutual friends a few years ago, and have gotten to know each other pretty good over the last few years. We just thought, what a great opportunity. So many people are at Super Bowl that week, and what a great opportunity to do something great and raise some great money for a good cause.” Watch the segment below.

The couple hugged the owner as security repeatedly told the pesky paparazzi to get off private property. Jessica And Tony Almost Vacation With Nick And Vanessa

According to The New York Post, and her boyfriend Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys had originally planned to join her sister Ashlee Simpson and Ashlee’s boyfriend Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy for a vacation in Costa Rica. That would have been a potential disaster, as Pete and Ashlee’s neighbors at the Exclusive Resorts was Jess’ ex-husband and his girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo. Fortunately, Jessica and Tony decided to vacation with her parents Tina and Joe at a private villa in Cabo San Lucas.
