Nicole Scherzinger visited Conan O’Brien’s TBS show ‘Conan’ on Monday night (September 19) to discuss the first season of ‘The X Factor’, where she serves as a judge. The former Pussycat Dolls member talked about how the show winner gets a $5 million recording contract and a Pepsi Super Bowl commercial, not having an age limit unlike ‘American Idol’, how Simon Cowell’s secret for lady success was his “Moobs”, and Conan’s focus on her ample cleavage.
“I think that women are attracted to the moobs. They’re strong and perky in his shirt,” Nicole said about Simon’s chest. “They’re alive and alert. They speak to you.” That prompted Conan to responded, “Yours are screaming!”
Nicole concluded by doing a singing impersonation of Britney Spears, doing a few lines of ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’. “It really shows off my vocal range and ability,” Nicole joked. “It’s like a form of flattery obviously because I love Britney.”

Nicole Scherzinger debuted her video for new single ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’ this week to US fans. The track is now available for download and is the second single from the former Pussycat Dolls lead singer’s upcoming solo album ‘Killer Love’, set for a November release on Interscope Records.
‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’ was released earlier this year in the UK, debuting at the #1 spot on the UK National Chart, and also hit #1 on both the Combined Singles Chart and Digital Download Chart. U.S. ‘X Factor’ judge tells Marie Claire that she was embarrassed by the sexy outfits worn by the Pussycat Dolls. “I cried when I saw my first Pussycat Doll costume,” the 33-year-old singer confessed. “It was my first photo shoot, and I wasn’t used to wearing clothes like that.”
Scherzinger also spoke about the excitement she has about releasing her debut solo album ‘Killer Love’ after being part of two girl groups – PCD and the band formed after the reality series ‘Popstars’ in 2001, Eden’s Crush. “I’ve been working toward this my whole life. This album is my dream,” she said. “Everything is timing. My music is the driving engine, and ‘The X Factor’ is where I can give back to the contestants – pay it forward, since I got my start on reality shows.” The U.S. version of ‘Killer Love’ will be released on November 15th.
Nicole Scherzinger performed her new single ‘Right There’ on Thursday night’s ‘Lopez Tonight’ on TBS. Before she rocked the stage, the ‘X Factor’ judge shared details about working with Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul, a bizarre bikini wax, and the inspiration behind her single.
“We’re one big happy dysfunctional family,” Nicole said of the ‘X Factor’ crew. “Simon knows how to get under [Paula’s] skin like nobody else. It’s crazy. She starts throwing stuff at him and everything.”
‘Right There’ is featured on Nicole’s solo debut ‘Killer Love’, which is set for release later this year on A&M/Interscope Records.

Despite reports suggesting Cheryl Cole would be returning to the American version of ‘The X Factor’, a brief statement earlier today from FOX and Syco confirmed that the Girls Aloud star has been replaced after filming just two audition episodes of the reality show last month. Taking her place will be Nicole Scherzinger, who initially had signed on to co-host the program. A reason for the move was not given in the statement.
According to Us Magazine, Simon Cowell’s decision to replace Cheryl Cole as a judge on ‘The X Factor’ with Nicole Scherzinger centered on the music mogul’s belief that the Girls Aloud star was “a much bigger risk” for the new show to be a success. “Throughout the whole decision making process, Simon was really torn between Cheryl and Nicole,” a source close to the former Pussycat Dolls singer said. “He absolutely loved Nicole, really felt like she was the right one, but also knew his chemistry with Cheryl had been great before in the U.K. He finally decided on the more comfortable option and chose Cheryl.” When they started taping ‘X Factor’ shows, Cowell began to believe selecting Cheryl was a mistake, leading to the shocking personnel change.
