The pop singer, who performed at former President Bush’s inauguration in 2000, weighed in on his successor Barack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize, telling his Twitter followers (@ricky_martin):

by the way President Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize! That’s fantastic! Foreign relations sucked! Obama brought the world together in many ways

Ricky Martin Offers Praise For Georgio Armani’s Philanthropy

and former Spice Girl were among the stars on hand at the opening of a new Georgio Armani store in New York City the other night, where Ricky talked with ITN about the famed designer. “What he’s been doing for the last – for his entire life in fashion – I think is fantastic. But on top of that, he’s a fantastic philanthropist. I think he’s doing a fantastic job, at least here in New York City, donating a million dollars for the kids. And as an activist, I have to be here.” The $1 million donation by Armani will help fund education programs in New York that emphasize the arts. Watch the highlights below.

UsMagazine.com caught up with on Saturday (August 23) at a party introducing Trump Tower Dubai in Los Angeles, where she spoke about her ‘Nobody Wants To Be Lonely’ collaborator becoming a father. “Congratulations! It is the best thing you will ever do in your life,” Aguilera said. “I’m sure he is such a proud papa!” Aguilera also said the best thing about motherhood is when her 8-month old son Max laughs. “It just lights up my whole world,” Christina said.

In recent weeks, Ricky Martin became a proud father by the birth of twin sons. The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care. Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.

The singer’s star is number 2,351 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, located near the fabled Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. “With this star my work has been recognized and this star is here forever,” he said at the ceremony. Ricky Martin To Be Awarded Star On Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

’s official Myspace sent out the following bulletin regarding the singer joining the Hollywood Walk of Fame later today:

Hi So Cal Fans!

We are extending to you this special invitation to join us and hundreds of other Ricky Martin fans for a historic day in the life of our Ricky and we want you to be a part of it.

During the last 23 years of his career, Ricky Martin has achieved many awards and recognitions in his artistic life, as well as for his humanitarian efforts, and tomorrow we will be able to witness a new celebration of achievement. One that will forever and always be a part of Hollywood history.

As you know, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will honor Ricky with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This historic event will take place on Hollywood Blvd in front of the Virgin Megastore, tomorrow, Tuesday, 16th in a special ceremony which will start at 11:30 AM.

We were told by the Chamber of Commerce that camping out overnight is not permitted by the police in the area as it would be considered loitering. Ricky Martin Performs In Miami Beach, Gets Key To City

Martin also performed shows at the new venue on Thursday and Friday. The Latin pop singer was on a lengthy tour in support of his 2005 album ‘Life’.
