Singapore’s MTV Asia Awards Come Off Flawed

Samuel Lee of Straits Times was on hand at the MTV Asia awards in Singapore Saturday and was left less than impressed with the affair. Lee said of ’s teleprompter helped hosting job, “What was supposed to be a series of witticisms exchanged between hosts and as well as between the various presenters of the awards was revealed to the live audience as a carefully-written script projected onto it.”

Winners at the event included for favorite male artist, Britney Spears for favorite female artist, and Westlife for favorite pop act.

Ronan Keating Throws In Towel On U.S.

The Sun reports former Boyzone singer has given up trying to hit it big in the U.S. market after only selling 25,000 singles of Lovin- Each Day despite having promoted it in the states for five months. A source at Interscope admits, “He was supposed to be in America for most of the summer but he came back early. Sales of Lovin- Each Day were disappointing to say the least and he will not go back next year.” Keating will make up for lost time in the U.K. by rushing out a new album by next spring.

A1 Slam Ronan Keating

Dotmusic.com reports bringing on fighting words to former Boyzone member . a1′s Paul Marazzi calls Keating “the least talented person I’ve ever met in the industry – ever.” Paul added, “He’s been through a lot of hard times, our Ronan, but he still shouldn’t sing.”
