Star magazine reports Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean made a frantic cell phone call on a West Hollywood street February 13th to fiance Sarah Martin. McLean was overheard saying, “Do you want me to go back to Florida? Is that enough fu**ing space for you? We don’t even live together anymore.” The couple postponed their wedding after Sarah discovered AJ was cheating on her with an Alcoholics Anonymous confidante. “So you don’t want to be with me,” McLean continued. “Nothing works. I had a horrible time, that’s why I left. Don’t even fu**ing talk to me anymore … Damn you! You’re turning everything into World War III. You just push me more and more.” Later, a fan of the group asked him if everything was OK. “I don’t know, man,” a frantic McLean said. “I was supposed to get married. It’s insane. I just got off the phone with her, and I just don’t know.”

The National Enquirer spoke with Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean and girlfriend Sarah Martin to get the scoop on their postponed marriage. “We are very much in love and are excited about the next stage of our relationship,” AJ said. “We both agreed to postpone the wedding and focus on our personal growth – myself on my career and my sobriety and Sarah on her singing career.” Sarah added, “We want to make [a marriage] last forever. We don’t want to have a big fancy Hollywood media wedding and then end up divorced two weeks later.”

Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean and fiance Sarah Martin have called off their wedding that had been planned on Valentine’s Day. Martin’s official Yahoo group tells fans, “Sarah and Alex have called off their wedding, and have sent out their apologies to anyone that has been inconvenienced. It was also stated that they appreciated everyone’s kindness and support during this time of privacy.” As for speculation over why the couple have done this, the site added, “Please remember when on other message boards if you see anyone spreading rumors and gossip do not argue with them, as this is what they want. If everyone would learn not to argue or try to defend against what is being said then the people and their rumors will go away.”

Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean tells In Touch magazine that getting and staying sober has been easy with the support of his fiance Sarah Martin and his bandmates. AJ cleaned up his act, and he has since credited his Martin with putting his hard-partying days behind him. “She stopped drinking too, while I was in rehab and has been very supportive,” he says. He’s also helped by a non-alcoholic brew. “Thank God they invented O’Douls,” he says. “I reach for that and I’m fine. Sobriety was a test for me, but in the end it was pretty easy.”

Sarah Martin, fiance of Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean, left a Christmas message for fans on her Loving Sarah Yahoo group. She says, “Hey guys!! We FINALLY got our X-mas tree, and I just surprised Alex
with his Christmas present. I got him a pool table. (Okay….so the living
room is officially crowded, but he was very excited!!!) We are going to
a midnight mass with my Grandparents tonight at my Grandmas church. I go
with her every year, and Alex decided to get all “suited up” and come along.
