Shut Up Stella checked in with fans on their blog at MySpace on Thursday (March 27) with the following news:
We know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from us, but a lot has been going down and we appreciate your patience. We want to make this as quick and painless as possible, so we are just going to give you a list (in chronological order) of everything that has happened…
1. We were dropped from Epic.
2. Jessie quit the band.
3. Epic kept our record (every single song).
4. We all moved on to our own separate projects.
So there you have it, folks. We really can’t express what an amazing ride it’s been and although things didn’t turn out the way we planned, everything happens for a reason (we truly believe that). Your love and support is the one thing that made this whole experience worth it and we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making Shut Up Stella such a memorable time. Thanks again for everything… and we hope we can count on your support in our future endeavors!

Fullerton Show at ‘The Alley’
So i’m gonna get right down to it… the show last night was awesome! I’m not gonna lie, we were slightly intimidated by the fact that out of 6 bands, we were the only girls AND we were the only non-punk band. By all accounts the odds were certainly not in our favor. But in true shutupstella style, we showed up, took care of business and had a fu**ing ball! The crowd and even the other bands were totally into it and everyone was super receptive to the music. We were totally stoked and had a great time! So thanks to everyone who made it out to the show and we’ll see you at the key club in L.A. Sept. 4th!!!!
Jessie Malakouti of Shut Up Stella checked in with fans on the group’s blog at Myspace on Saturday (August 25). She writes:
(in case you were wondering) Was AMAZING! The energy and vibe couldn’t have been more perfect… Also we love playing with our two new honorary SUS members Drew (guitar), and Charles (Base), The stage was tiny, but it almost was better that way because it felt like one giant-over-crowded party… the best kind where you have to hold your drink above your head to get through…ya know?
Anyway.. we fu**in rocked the show… and can’t wait to play more! So if we are in a city near you, you better come and catch us live kiddies! Plus we have ep’s now, so you can grab one of those on your way out…
SHUT UP STELLA IS MY SH**!
Jessie Malakouti of Shut Up Stella checked in with fans on the trio’s blog at MySpace on Wednesday (July 18) with the following message:
Ok I had to blog about this…
So tonight I saw Courtney Love play a free concert at The Roxy… Totally Random and last min, (Wish I knew more in advance because Fan really loves her-sorry girl) and after the first 30 seconds I completely understand why… she is such a bad-ass! Smoking a ciggy in one hand ever so delicately, while strumming the fu** out of her guitar with the other. How she held the chord down beats me, but somewhere in between she managed to… like I said, TOTAL BAD-ASS…
Okay, my point is that watching her got me SO amped for our up-coming tour, yes, I said TOUR. The girls and I are starting rehearsals next week to get ready for a sort of “mini Cali tour”… In late August/early September. We’re planning on playing LA, SD, OC, IE, etc.. maybe do a few shows in San Fran, and possibly even Vegas :) So get ready Bitches! Malakouti, K-Wags, and Fan-Threezy are getting ready to rock your world in the flesh!
We’ll post dates and details as we get them…
So don’t forget to spread the word SHUT UP STELLA IS MY SH**!
Shut Up Stella have posted webisode #12, following the trio in the studio. After complaining about their songwriting collaborators, they checked online and learned – it was filmed awhile ago – that Britney Spears had filed divorce from Kevin Federline and they predicted she was finally “getting her sh** together”. They then complained about the men at the LA club scene before the episode wrapped up in the studio with Good Charlotte. The video at MySpace can be viewed below.
Shut Up Stella have posted a new track from their forthcoming debut album at their MySpace page. Listen to ‘Twister’ here.
