Sophie Ellis Bextor Puts Richard Jones In The Dog House

sounded off on her husband Richard Jones over bassist’s recorded question posed to his wife on a radio show and a Tweet Richard sent to a music web site logged into Sophie’s account. The pop singer told her Twitter followers (@SophieEB):

So @thefeeling did the same radio tour as me last week, and Richard was asked to record a question for me to answer on one of the stations.

What do you think he asked? Something sweet? Something to put us both in a good light?

No. He asked me ‘do you like picking up my dirty pants off the floor and putting them in the laundry bin?’

This makes us BOTH LOOK BAD. (and I don’t like it)

Naughty R!!!

RT @thefeeling @Popjustice @sophieeb that was actually me. Wrong account. Whoops. R

@thefeeling you knew EXACTLY what you were doing! Apologize to my followers at once! It’s not even past the watershed.

“@Popjustice: I cannot believe what @SophieEB just tweeted me about fisting” I did not expect to read this today when I woke up this morning

Sophie Ellis Bextor Hints At ‘Revolution’ Being A Single

answered a few questions on her official web site on Friday (November 26), including one asking about the chances her song ‘Revolution’ would get released as a single. The British pop singer responded:

I love ‘Revolution’ too – written with the amazing Cathy Dennis. I think there is a strong possibility of it being a single as the song has had a brilliant reaction. I’ll definitely perform it on the tour, it’s a great live song. ‘Straight to the Heart’ has a few fairly heavy dancey tracks like that – perfect for gigs.

Sophie Ellis Bextor’s Fashion Likes And Dislikes

did a Q&A with fans on her official web site. Among the questions asked the British pop singer:

Gabby asks – Dear Sophie, for my fashion design class I decided to do a profile about your sense of style. It’s a project I have to work on. So can you describe to me your sense of style, your likes and dislikes for your wardrobe. And you what you like to wear during different seasons?

SEB: Hello Gabby and thank you for the compliment. I think my style is quirky, colorful and feminine. I like quite sharp tailoring but am really influenced by the past. Anything from 50′s to 80′s can be found in my wardrobe – my friends always come to me if they have a fancy dress party. Hang on, that may not be a good thing….

My dislikes are things that are too baggy or try too hard. That being said I’m sure I have bought many things along those lines that looked great on someone else, but not on me.

Sophie Ellis Bextor: Avoid Heavy Makeup At Festivals

is offering concertgoers a guide on how to dress for a festival in a column for Telegraph. One bit of advice the British pop singer had:

Stay neutral – You don’t want to be heavily made-up at a festival – it just looks odd. And as you’re spending a lot of time in the daylight, it’ll look really obvious if you have a lot of make-up on. A bit of eyeliner and mascara is all I wear. You don’t know when you’re going to see a mirror anyway, so best just to keep it simple. Any essentials you may need during the day, pack in a satchel so you’re still ‘hands-free.’ And always take dry shampoo – it’s a brilliant invention

Sophie Ellis Bextor Really Pleased With ‘Bittersweet’ Video

did a Q&A on her blog at MySpace on Tuesday (April 20), discussing interviews, hula hooping, and the video for ‘Bittersweet’. An excerpt of the latter topic:

The Bittersweet video is obviously out. Are you pleased with it?
Yeah, I’m really pleased actually. I probably shouldn’t have gone on so much about how it’s made – with all the trampolining – because actually when you watch it, it looks other-worldly and I don’t think you would necessarily know there had been a trampoline involved.

People seem to be liking it.
I think so. I’m glad I didn’t get covered in paint for nothing. Ha ha!

Sophie Ellis Bextor Planning Informal Album Artwork

answered another round of Twitter questions in a blog at her MySpace on Wednesday (April 7), including if she had a concept for the artwork to her new album. The 30-year-old writes:

Yeah, I think we want to do something which is a bit looser and more informal than we have done before. I’ve done lots of lovely things where it’s been quite diva-ish and distant, and I do really like that angle for pop. But now that it’s album four, I feel like it might be OK to show a slightly different side of me. Maybe something a little bit more playful.
