Taio Cruz Goes Gold With ‘Departure’

checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Friday (September 5), telling fans his debut album ‘Departure’ crossed a sales milestone. Cruz writes:

I just found out that my album has gone Gold in the UK which is AMAZING. I’d like to thank everyone who has gone out and bought it, I really appreciate all the love you’ve shown me and I cant wait for you to hear the second album which i’m currently working on.

BTW, The banner on my page has changed to a GOLD banner in honor of the achievement so dont adjust your computer screens haha.

Music Matters To Taio Cruz

Music Matters

Even in situations down and out, your favourite song can lift you out, it puts a smile onto your face. Music matters.

It helps us feel in some sort of sense that someone relates to our experience.
It helps us to not to feel alone. Music matters.

I’ve loved it since before I was given a name, and I’ll love it till I need a Zimmer frame. It makes me who I am today. Music Matters.

For me I couldn’t live a day, without my voice, guitar, or a piano to play.

So for me it’s truest when I say. Music matters.

Taio Cruz, Kanye, Pharrell & Timbaland Doing Tracks For Britney’s New Album

British producer, songwriter and singer spoke with The Sunday Mail about working with on the pop tart’s follow-up to last year’s ‘Blackout’ release. “The songs will be good – she has Kanye, Pharrell, Timbaland and me doing tracks for her,” Taio revealed. “It is more a matter of whether she is mentally and physically ready for this. On the last album, ‘Blackout’, she was tired and people were forcing her to put another album out. If she is ready it will be huge – she just came with ‘Blackout’ too early.” Read more.
