Jessica Origliasso of The Veronicas is reacting to news that the West Memphis Three have agreed to a plea agreement which resulted in the immediate release of all three men, Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley, Jr. and Jason Baldwin. The Australian pop singer tells her Twitter followers (@Jessicaveronica):
Just heard the ‘West Memphis Three’ have finally been released. Sad that these, now men, had 18 years of their lives raped by the US Justice system. Now maybe they can put their efforts into finding the real monsters of this crime.
My heart goes out to the these 3 men who have endured 18 years of hell from a system that should have protected them.
@BrotherPeter Its a fu**ing joke that they would have to plead guilty so that the system isn’t mocked upon for locking up 3 innocent men
My heart breaks for these 3 boys, now men. May they now be able to live their lives freely.
The Veronicas are out with the first video update showing fans what they’ll be seeing from Australian pop rock group over the next few weeks leading up to a single release. “In the next few weeks you guys are going to be getting a look into our rehearsals, recording, our fighting. We’re going to be playing new music to you guys through the videos,” the Brisbane twins said.

@Jessicaveronica I’m actually going to kill them. Wait no, better idea… I’ll get Tyler to fly on it with his shot gun:) He’ll protect us!!
Lisa Origliasso took to her Twitter (@Lisa_Veronica) to tell followers she’s apparently not impressed with lyrics in Katy Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream’ single ‘Firework’, which Perry and several others wrote. Before quickly deleting the comment, The Veronicas singer Tweeted:
‘Do you ever feel, like a plastic bag, drifting through the wind’………. um.. no I don’t. Do you ever feel like a moron singing that?
Update: Lisa has since Tweeted:
For real guys. I’ve been in a silly mood all day. It was a stupid joke. I absolutely adore Katy. She is freaking killing it and I love her x
Nothing but love… no more stupid jokes. Just gonna write like everyone else, and promote stuff and edit everything I say x

The campaign, which is available at peta2.com, was shot by top celebrity photographer Joseph Cultice. Watch an interview with Jess and Lisa below the cut.

Lisa and Jessica Origliasso of The Veronicas are reacting to the stabbing death of 12-year-old Elliott Fletcher of St Patrick’s College at Shorncliffe in her hometown of Brisbane, Australia. The 13-year-old charged for the murder was remanded in custody after an appearance in the Brisbane Children’s Court. Lisa told her Twitter followers (@Lisa_Veronica)

Jess writes on her Twitter (@Jessicaveronica):
Just heard about a 12 year old boy being stabbed to death at a Brisbane school, this saddens me to no end. What are we doing wrong, where our youth feel the need to inflict such violence on each other.. So sad.
