Jess and Lisa Origliasso of The Veronicas sent in a video message to fans while backstage at the O2 Arena for the Jingle Bell Ball. Watch the message via YouTube below.
The Veronicas posted an update on their official web site on Monday (November 30), talking about work on a follow-up to ‘Hook Me Up’. The Australian pop rock twins write:
Lis and I thought we would send a little update with what we’ve been up to the past couple of weeks. Things might seem quiet, but the past few weeks we’ve been shacked up making a lot of noise in Brisbane with Jungle George, writing and recording for our third record. We’ve been experimenting with a lot of different sounds for this next record – citing influences from The Subways, The Dead Weather, Mazzy Star, Ladytron and Peaches. We’ve also been doing some writing collaborations as well with Erinn and Matt from Streamer Bendy, and also the amazinng Suzi Quatro (yes that’s right). Also, we’ve been relaxing a fair bit, before we head back to the UK next week for the big Xmas show in London. We’re going to do a video blog while we are in London to say hiii to you cute kids out in Youtube world! (when I say kids.. I don’t actually mean kids.. I even call my older friends kids..ha.) Welllll I’m off to meet up with Jungle and some mates to see a gig! So I’ll speak soon <3 Keep on loving <3 Jessssica and Lis
Lisa Origliasso of The Veronicas checked in with her Twitter followers (@Lisa_Veronica) moments ago after injuring herself. The 24-year-old writes:
Was running around the room making fun of an ex boyfriend that was on TV, jumped on our couch, rolled my ankle and fell flat on the floor!..
That’s karma for you I guess….. bahahaha. Oh dear.. I hope my foot isn’t broken! :(
Is laying on a couch with an elevated bandaged foot with an ice pack on it, in some SERIOUS pain. Oh maaaan, why is karma such a b!@#$
The best bit, is I was totally trying to impress @Jessicaveronica with my funniness & awesomeness. Massive fail by me. How embarrassing!!!!
In response, her twin sister Jessica said on Twitter (@Jessicaveronica):
@Lisa_veronica Baahaha BABE! It was totally worth it. Classic moment. Quality.. I’ve never seen anyyything like it. lol.
@Lisa_veronica I am soo happy your home :) even if you are defective ;) hehe. I love you
Lisa and Jess Origliasso of The Veronicas posted behind the scenes footage from their photo shoot for the UK’s Look Magazine on their YouTube. The Brisbane pop duo talked about their fashion at the shoot, the photographer and who’s the talented one. Watch below.
Lisa Origliasso of The Veronicas checked in with her Twitter followers (@Lisa_Veronica) after she and a friend protested at one of the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament castles, presumably in Buena Park, for their use of horses in the show. The 24-year-old singer and animal rights activist writes:
Free the fu**ing horses at Medieval Times :( !!!!!!!!!!
Tonight.. we made a stand. Everyone can make a difference. Wether it’s in a big or small way.. we can all stand up for what we believe is right or wrong.
The Veronicas checked in with fans while in Bogota, Colombia, where the twin sisters were getting ready to perform at the MTV Latin America Awards. Jess said their YouTube channel was back up after “Lisa was favoriting too many naughty videos of dogs humping other dogs.” Watch the brief update below.
Jess Origliasso of The Veronicas wrote on her blog at Tumblr on Friday:
Sometimes I feel like I’m treated like someone who is just here to sell something to your kids.. and unless its freedom, self worth, and/or that feeling you get when you fall in love with a couple of chords & lyrics.. I don’t like, or want that fu**ing role.
Lisa and Jess Origliasso of The Veronicas posted their first new video on their second YouTube channel since their first one was suspended for some reason. They had just done a 1940’s themed photo shoot for The Mirror and said their album gets a UK release on October 12th. The Australian twin duo also got to walk Abbey Road on their trip.
“We’re here in London. Loving it,” the pair said. “Actually finishing up a photo shoot for The Mirror newspaper, and it was a 1940’s theme, so we’ve got this rad hair. Anyway, we just wanted to make a quick video and we’re gonna take a few more as the week goes on and post them up. We have some exciting news, our record is coming out in the UK on October 12th.”
Watch the clip below.
Lisa and Jess Origliasso of The Veronicas are both sounding off on their hometown newspaper The Courier-Mail after they wrote about Lisa buying her own DVD ‘Revenge is Sweeter’ at HMV last week.
Lisa told her Twitter followers (@Lisa_Veronica):
@couriermail just so you know it wasn’t that you wrote that I bought my own DVD that I cared about at all. It was the fact you said “Jess and I have been seen not being able to keep our hands off each other” .. that is SICK and you know very well that’s what I was talking about when I blasted you guys on here!!! That’s why you deleted it off the news story!
@couriermail and don’t worry, I have a screen cap of the article BEFORE you edited it, and will be making sure to find our exactly who wrote a news story so PATHETIC you would imply that Me and my sister are acting incestual. You disgust me.
And Jess just wrote on her Twitter (@Jessicaveronica):
Finds it interesting that the @couriermail never prints the names of their “journalists” who write these articles in “confidential” next to the piece. What are afraid of? Although I guess if u were a real “Journalist” you wouldn’t be writing for the confidential/tabloid section.
At least our “pop music that isn’t considered Art” makes people happy. What do your articles of sarcasm achieve?
Integrity something you lack @couriermail
