The singer songwriter recently sat down for a track by track interview to share some of the stories behind writing each song, with the first video being for the first song on the EP ‘Sunset Blvd’. “So ‘Sunset Blvd’ kind of came out of my re-love of LA after living in Nashville for awhile,” Hilton explained. “I came back for work though, I didn’t even come back though because I necessarily liked the scene better than Nashville. Once I got back here I realized I work better in this town, I started finding out what I actually love about living in this town.” Watch the commentary via YouTube below.

My EP “Ladies and Gentlemen” is out and for sale on iTunes! Wahoo!!!! With it’s release I’m here, there and everywhere saying hey, playing songs, signing things, and having an all around good time. The first week of promo is already done. Hung at a radio station in NY and met with some folks who might wanna use some of my tunes for a commercial or two. Also did some on air interviews for some NY TV networks and played the EP release show at the Canal Room where we SOLD OUT of EP’s! Damn! You are a hungry bunch of Storm Trackers.

Tyler Hilton sent in a new video blog to talk about the two songs he posted, his 5-song ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ EP coming out April 20th, touring with The Spill Canvas, probably releasing the new album towards the end of the summer, and its title will be ‘The Storms We Share’.
“I’m really excited about this, because as a lot of you know, I’ve kind of been waiting to name the record, and until the record was all put together and all done so I could look at the songs and be like ‘Okay, what should I call this group of songs?’,” Hilton explained. “The name came about in a really crazy way. I was talking to a few people about living in Nashville, about living in Canada and about living in places where there’s weather which we don’t really have in LA. They were saying it’s weird, you could be at the grocery store, you could be somewhere talking to someone, you don’t even know the person and you can be like, ‘Crazy weather out there, huh,’ and it’s something everyone has in common. A lot of these songs kind of ended up being about trials in life or different things we all kind of go through. So I thought that would be a great title for the record, because there’s not as many love songs as there were on my other records and it just seems to be like one of those records. Hopefully there’s a lot of topics we can all have in common together.”

Tyler Hilton updated fans on his official web site’s blog on Monday (March 1), discussing a photo shoot he did with Reid Rolls, posting a new song called ‘I Believe In You’, and plans to release a new EP called ‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ on April 20th. Hilton writes:
Today I posted the 2nd new song (from the full album I’m putting out later this year) on my sites for all of you. It’s the album version of “I Believe In You”. Since I put an acoustic version on the last EP “Better on Beachwood” I’ve seen a lot of you guys covering it on YouTube. It sounds great on you! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the full band version. Show it to friends, work out to it, throw it on a mix, sing it in the shower, and maybe eventually dedicate it to someone (that’s the ultimate for a song, I think).
