Lou Pearlman Arrested In Indonesia
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports Lou Pearlman, the Orlando boy-band mogul, was taken into custody by the FBI early this morning in Indonesia. Authorities in that country expelled Pearlman and then turned him over to U.S. authorities. “We are aware that he is in the custody of the FBI, I can’t comment beyond that,” said Steve Cole, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tampa. Meanwhile, Pearlman’s band US5 are set to release their new single ‘Rhythm Of Life’ in Germany on Friday and his other act, Streetwize, indicate they have no label.

FBI, IRS Raid Lou Pearlman’s Orlando Offices
Dozens of agents from the FBI and the Internal Revenue Service swarmed the Orlando offices of music mogul Lou Pearlman on Thursday. They arrived at the Trans Continental headquarters on Church Street with search warrants, WESH 2 News reported. Pearlman, who used to manage *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys and currently manages US5 and Streetwize, has $160 million in bank and creditor debts and may owe more than $300 million to investors in a savings program that investigators have called fraudulent. US5 Honored At Goldene Kamera Awards
US5 was on hand for the Goldene Kamera Awards at the Ullstein-Halle inside the Axel-Springer-Haus in Berlin, Germany on Thursday (February 1). The boy band was awarded the best International Pop Group honor as manager Lou Pearlman looked on. After Jay Kahn’s bizarrely long acceptance speech in German, Richie Stringini said a few words in English - not mentioning his recent house arrest back in Wheaton, Illinois - and was ribbed by host Thomas Gottschalk about his spikey hair.
