Nicky Byrne was spotted leaving Holles Street Baby Hospital to perform with Westlife after his wife Georgina gave birth to twin sons Rocco and Jay on Friday (April 20) in Dublin, Ireland.
The Mirror reports hydraulics problems forced Westlife and fellow Qantas passengers to stay in Sydney another night on Sunday and instead depart on Monday. “The lads were told that cars would take everyone to hotels but none turned up,” a source revealed. “They had to track down someone from their record company to book a car – which arrived over two hours later. Because of the time difference they hadn’t even been able to find out where their album had charted. So they rang their manager Louis Walsh and woke him up.” After getting news they had edged Oasis to top the UK album charts, the veteran boy band was too tired to party.
Take That’s Gary Barlow spoke with The Sun about their hopes to knock rival boy band Westlife off the top of the UK album chart with ‘Beautiful World’. “We will do our best to knock Westlife off #1 but it’s a tough job,” he said. “They have sold so many albums it’s quite unbelievable. The Sun caught up with Take That, where Gary Barlow weighed in on former bandmate Robbie Williams’ new album. “I didn’t like ‘Rudebox’ at all,” he said, “but I really liked ‘Lovelight’.” The guys also commented on the album chart battle between Oasis and Westlife. “I just don’t get the whole Westlife thing,” Barlow said. “I don’t understand who would go out and buy their records. I haven’t got it and I won’t be buying it, but I have got the Oasis album. I’m definitely backing Oasis over them – I thought Oasis would storm it to No1 with their best of.”
Robbie Keeping The Kids Happy

Elton is furious at Noel Gallagher after he claimed Elt was too precious to go out for a pint of milk. “I’m so glad Westlife are ahead of Oasis,” Elton said. “After what fu**ing Noel Gallagher said about me I couldn’t give a sh** about Oasis. I go into fu**ing shops all the time myself, he’s just such a tosser. He’s an absolute tosser and he looks like Parker from Thunderbirds. They don’t deserve to be #1. It’s not a greatest hits album because they’ve left three of their biggest hits off it.”
