Former Take That manager Nigel Martin-Smith telephoned The Mirror to say how grateful they were for the paper’s support of the reformed boy band, minus Robbie Williams, who were able to sell out all 26 dates of their forthcoming tour in just six hours on Friday. He gushed, “It’s thanks to 3am and your readers getting behind the guys that they are going back on the road. They can’t believe they’ve sold all 250,000 tickets already – they couldn’t be more thrilled. Apparently they sold out almost as quickly as Robbie Williams’ shows did.” Of course last week, Robbie sold a record-breaking 1.6 million tickets for his tour, booked at much larger venues.
