Mike Bell of the Calgary Sun reviewed Kelly Osbourne’s debut album ‘Shut Up’ giving it 2 1/2 stars but giving it much harsher sounding comments. Bell said, “Kelly seems to be aiming for the packaged-sass Avril Lavigne market with her punchy pop songs of boys, partying, boys, teen angst, boys and boys. With the exception of the embarrassing ballad, ‘More Than Life Itself’, the tracks are all innocuous though inoffensive in a fittingly disposable way — but that’s hardly a ringing endorsement.”
