The Sun reports t.A.T.u.’s Yulia Volkova, 18, and Lena Katina, 19 are setting out in a bid to become joint presidents of their native Russia. The lesbian pop duo have vowed to win the election battle in March, claiming they can do a better job than Vladimir Putin. “Tatu are running together. We cannot separate the girls,” a spokesman for the pair said. “We are going to collect signatures in support of proposing them as a candidate in the presidential elections.” Yulia and Lena will have to convince officials they are eligible to run – as rules state candidates must be at least 35 years old.
