The Black List Club frontman Evan Taubenfeld took part in a Q&A on the band’s official web site, where he answered questions from fans, including one asking about the claim that Avril Lavigne’s song ‘Contagious’ is really written by Chantal Kreviazuk. “‘Contagious’ on Avril’s was written solely by Avril and myself,” Taubenfeld, who was Lavigne’s lead guitarist from spring 2002 to September 2004, insisted. “In fact, we originally wrote it for me, so there’s no way Chantal was involved. I can’t speak on her song or any claims she’s making about our song because I’ve never heard hers.”
