Tom Lanham of the San Francisco Examiner spoke with Andrea Corr from the Irish group The Corrs. The quartet got to play before Ireland’s Prime Minister Bertie Ahern and U.S. President George W. Bush on Wednesday for the annual Speaker’s Irish Luncheon. Andrea said of the opportunity, “It ended up going really well. It was weird playing and looking down and there’s the president, but he was very nice — he came up to us afterwards and said that we were great, and that we kind of reminded him of music he likes, which is country-and-western.”
