Jack Mathews of The New York Daily News reviewed Jessica Simpson’s big-screen debut ‘The Dukes Of Hazzard’, giving the film only 1 1/2 stars. Mathews writes, “If the pop singer’s wardrobe is meant as a distraction from her performance, it only works for a little while. Simpson is about as comfortable in front of the camera as a rabbit about to meet its fate in front of a speeding car.” Read more.

true. you could just tell from the previews that she just can’t act.
Maybe they should’ve put the rabbit in front of the camera.
It’s getting alot of bad reviews. But you can tell from the trailors that it’s bad. They said if you go to it expecting to see alot of Jessica your going to be disappointed because she’s barely in the movie. They said they just inject her almost naked body to wiggle her butt every so often and that’s pretty much it. Rolling Stone magazine wouldn’t even give it any stars. It’s still expected to come in at #1 though with about 25 to 30 million.
Oh please, she’s very comfortable in front of the camera, she’s been in front of a camera for the last 6 years, that’s just someone trying to trash her, but it’s ok, cause the original Dukes characters approved her acting, and that’s an important approval in my book
It just seems to me that…’, ‘people are looking for too much from this movie, it just seems to me that it’s supposed to be a fun summer movie that is just that, fun. It’s not supposed to be a cinematic revolution, I mean just look at what the tv show was like.

Jessica is a flake. I can’t stand her and hope this movie flops so she’s just go away! Why do you defend her so strongly?
Does anybody really expect this film to be good? The trailors look bad, the acting looks bad, and the Daisy Duke hype is just ridiculous considering that Jessica is barely in the movie, and I don’t know how her dressing sexy, shaking her butt,and flaunting a country accent is “acting.”
