Lisa Wathne, spokeswoman for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, tells The Mirror that Michael Jackson should shut down his Neverland Ranch zoo now. “These photos make it clear that the animals are being held in what can only be described as cruel conditions,” she claimed. “They’re abysmal, little more than holding cells. Jackson must close this place and relocate the animals to an accredited zoo or sanctuary.” PETA has sent a letter to the US Department of Agriculture urging them to investigate.
