Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Monday night, “Here’s the latest on Ashlee Simpson. She’s been upgraded from guarded to prerecorded. Did you hear about this? … Apparently Ashlee Simpson collapsed at a concert in Tokyo. Which is kind of a a switch for the Japanese people, watching an American performer whose mouth moves and then you hear the words come out. See, usually it’s the other way around.”
