The One Britney Spears Among The Many Christinas

Contributed by MusicHomme:

There is something remarkably charming and endearing about Britney Spears. Sure enough that she puts on a good show, lip-synching or not, dances up a storm, writes some rather catchy tunes but it is her approach to others and life that truly makes her above the others.

People shudder under criticsm and most retorted by striking back viciously, but the wiser and kinder ones prefer to just nod, note and walk away calmly.

Britney Spears is the biggest music sensation since God knows who and the price to pay is the legion of critics that magnifies her every moves. When Avril Lavigne called her a hooker lookalike, Spears pushed the statement aside and even placed Lavigne’s album as one of her favorites. Pink did not fancy Spears either, but Spears called her music interesting. Fred Durst who was so bitter over an infatuation went in lengths to destroy her, but Spears remained calm, and refused to stoop. Aguilera who should thank spears for jumpstarting the female pop trend, called her “fake” , but Spears publicly proclaimed that she wished that she would have Aguuilera’s voice. Justin Timberlake proves to be the ideal boyfriend, by making the world his therapists, asking her to ‘Cry me a river’ but once again, Spears remained patient, with a reply, “I may have caused it rain… and this song is my sorry.”

It is easy to run and rant like a banshee or claim that you are such an adult or an artist, but maturity and wisdom do not come from the mouth, but from the brain and the heart. And this is toost to Miss Britney Spears, the rose among the Christinas.
