According to The Chicago Sun-Times, Britney Spears was asked to be a presenter at the Grammys and had said yes — until she discovered they had planned on linking her with ‘Seinfeld’ actor Jason Alexander. On the actual broadcast, Britney was replaced by Snoop Dogg, who quietly stood by as the more famous Alexander cracked quips about the ‘confusion’ reigning about his brief marriage to Britney. Britney wasn’t far away though. She was reportedly ensconced at the chic Miramar hotel in Santa Monica.
