Platform caught up with Una Healy, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White and Rochelle Wiseman of The Saturdays for a chat, where the British girl group talked about how a year ago they were doing “normal jobs”, Frankie’s romance with McFly’s Dougie Poynter, how they came together, and more.
On how JLS also is going the color coordinated route, Una said, “They’re definitely copying us though. We’ve been around longer than them.”
Asked about how the girls came together, Rochelle explained, “The record label kind of knew us already. We still had to go through an audition with other people that dance and sing just to check that there wasn’t better people than us. We had to be put through our paces. We met at a dance studio.”
Video of the interview has since been removed.
