Melodic.net caught up with The Veronicas in a Q&A, asking the Brisbane twins about changing their sound from pop rock on their debut to electropop on their second album ‘Hook Me Up’. “It was a natural progression for us, just growing as artists and fans of music, we were influence by different bands weve been listening to for the past 2 years,” one of the two responded. “In our opinion our latest record is way more rocking than our first one even!”
As for their artistic freedom, one of them said, “We are very hands on with our song writing and getting the sound we want. And have a say in what songs make the record. But of course there are a lot of other opinions that need to be considered, and usually the guys spending the money want the final say.. ha ha ha agghh!!!” Check out the entire interview here.
